WOYWW crop - what a blast we had!

My head is still spinning after yesterday's fabulous WOYWW crop. Squeals of delight, loads of hugs, laughter, chatter, fabulous food...........oh, and some crafting too :) What a brilliant day Julia and Jan had organised for us - thank you so much ladies.

I took very few photos, and those I did take are absolute rubbish but I'll keep an eye open for others and then might blatantly pinch more at a future date.

Of course I got to finally meet our own Playground mischief maker - Hettie, aka Sam. She's every bit as full of fun as expected - but I just bet you didn't know she's also a flipping magician. I thought I'd taken a fair bit of stuff but Sam surely had the record for the day and seemed to just keep whipping different stuff out to play with - and one bag didn't even make it from her car into the village hall:
And THIS is only the floor to the side of where Sam was working, trust me, the table top was also pretty full :)
And if the table top is full, you just decamp to the floor of course :)

That's Sam to the left trying out a new TH  die, brought along by Helen for her to play with.

Today I feel shattered - and a bit deflated of course. A brilliant day and so lovely to meet so many WOYWWers.

Sigh, Sam brought (I totally kid you not) paint charts for the Playground's tree house so I guess that's on the agenda for today - once I finish unpacking my stuff!

  1. Glad you had a great time Di, it's always nice to finally meet people that you've only had dealings with in blogland.

Showed the photo of all Sam's stuff to hubby, so that should stop him complaining about my tiny amount of crafting goodies under our bed lol.

Have a relaxing day and enjoy your memories of yesterday xx

It was a fantastic day and one to talk about for a long while....
The evening was fab having a wee dram with Morti, Delores, Jan, Donna, Jozarty, and was quite a giggle!!

PS I dunno, she gets everywhere!!! Thanks for coming - it was such a fab day. I so enjoyed meeting everyone. Gonna put my feet up today. Have fun with the paint charts. I rather fancy a combination of chartreuse and heliotrope myself, though Sam assures that Distressed Damsel is the one to go for... :)
    Hugs, LLJ xx

  14. Sounds like you had a wonderful time!!! I was thinking of you yesterday.

Poppy is settling in fine. She's been a bit stressed but is slowly allowing me some time with her. She's sitting on my shoulder right now, as a matter of fact!

  18. I notice Di hasn't shown you what was on the table.....not a great deal other than strips of punchings and the book I was working on! And the red bag is my Radley handbag!!
I like the fact that you caught me with my glasses in their usual position....on my head! Hee Hee!

  21. oh Di... How I would have loved to have gone... hopefully I may be up for the next one.

It sounds like you had a fabulous time, and who would have expected anything else? I a shade of green right now!

I love how Hels ended up on the floor, bless her - however, not her usual carpeted workspace eh?

I'm going to visit some of the others to see if they have posted. Also, I'm a bit out of the loop with some things so going to see what this paint chart talk is all about!

Tis funny seeing someone with all that stuff for just a few hours - but I may have done the same myself - being indesisive as I am!

    Big hugs

  22. I'm having a great time reading up on the WOYWW crop ... looks as though you all had a fabulous time getting to know each other. I think I'd be like Sam and bring everything but the kitchen sink which, by the way, I think I spotted in her stuff somewhere :) Needless to say, I'm sooooo disappointed I couldn't be there too!!! There's a really good pic of you out there in blogland - I think it might be in LLJ's post. Oh, and was there a pink chip on the paint charts by any chance? Hugs, Elizabeth xx
