WOYWW 206

Super fast WOYWW from me - almost didn't join in but, as it's only a couple of weeks until Week 208 and the ATC swop, it didn't seem right not to play as I do hope to take part:
The usual cup of coffee - almost cold, as usual. The makings of a card, those Radley dog buttons still waiting to be played with - and a whole load of panic here. This is why:
Looks pretty innocent I know - but there's 250 bookmarks lurking in there. All are at least printed, chopped to size and the fold scored, 50 or so with the corners already rounded (punch, punch, punch), pretzel bags trimmed down to size for packing before little 'Flip over the page Magnetic Bookmarks' labels are added to seal the bags.

The reason, it's only just over two weeks until my old school reunion and these will be little table favours on the Saturday evening when we have our riot posh dinner/dance.
And this is what they'll look like once the magnets are added. Harrumph though, still smarting here 'cos the weekend is the same one as the WOYWW crop :(

That's me - need to finish the card and then get back to punching off bookmark corners - only 800 corners left to punch, sigh.

To see what everyone else is up to, with a LOT more sense (as well as much smaller mouths when asked what they can come up with for table favours),  hop over to Julia's and then onto see who else linked in :)

Happy WOYWW! Punch, punch. punch :(

  14. What a good idea to put a magnet on the bookmarks. Don’t think I’ve seen that before and it’s so frustrating when your marker falls out of your book and you can’t find the page you were on.
    Happy Crafting!

  17. Hi Di
oh my gosh if I lived nearer I would be round in a flash to give you a hand with all your punching even if it meant leaving my sick bed.
You have a job and a half on your hands but oh wow the finished result is so worth it, well done

  18. OMG, my friend, why, why, why? I am prolly missing something obvious, but why do they have to have rounded corners? Really. I'm so concerned for you ending up with severe carpal tunnel, and that's so painful and the worst thing for someone as creative as you.

Okay, off my nagladder. Just take care, hon. They do look fab and I'm sure they'll be a big hit (rounded corners, or no!)!! Okay, okay.

  19. Well they say the Devil makes work for idle hands..... unfortunatly he has made work for not so idle hands, if you follow that.
Good Luck, they look brilliant and I hope you get a standing ovation.

  20. Oh Di, I do not know how you could ever get over what happened to your aunt. That is truly horrific, and so senseless, and no punishment would be enough for that.

On a more cheerful note, I hope you enjoy your school reunion. We had one last year, the second since we all left. A small group of my close friends all get together at each others houses each year, although this year, our meeting was at the funeral, the day after we should have met. We are hoping to meet up again in September, although we are now spread out more than before. xx Maggie #87

  22. Sorry to read you are going to miss the crop. I read where you got to meet Brenda, though. I tried to leave here a comment, but it didn't take for some reason.

I know you'll have fun at your reunion, especially after all the hard work that went into those bookmarks. You deserve big applause for doing it, too.

    Happy WOYWW from # 6.

  24. Hello Di, I looked for you on the WOYWW and clearly missed you ... how did that happen??? And I'm exhausted just looking at that box of bookmarks and thinking of all the corner punching you had to do ... I'm assuming, rightly or wrongly, that you've finished by now. I would have helped if I could. Hope you have a great time at the reunion bash ... that way you might just forget you are missing the WOYWW crop. Hugs, Elizabeth x #36
