Here's today's snippets card:
- 7" x 5" white card stock
- green backing card from the snippets folder and white snippets for stamping onto
- patterned paper is a recent 'freebie' 'Lilly Bimble' acquisition from Quick Cards Made Easy magazine
- stamped image by Little Clair Designs 'Butterfly Blossom' coloured with Pro Markers and then tickled with Twinkling H2Os from the Iridescent set. Although I have most of the H2O pots, this set is so versatile for adding shimmer to already coloured images. An extra couple of butterflies were stamped and coloured to pop on top with little snippets of sticky pads and pearls were added to the flower centres
- die cut the image and backed it with another snippet of green card, cut after drawing round the outside of the same die and hand cutting it
- sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps' 'Friendship Ticket Sentiments' set, stamped in Brilliance 'Pearlescent Blue' and mounted onto green backing - which truly is centred in real life!
This is a closer view so you can see the H2O shimmer - maybe:
So, this week in the Playground - lots of lovely makes as always, and I've just picked a few to show you:
Lynn (Linby) brought this stunning lavender and lace card to show - and wahoo, it also won a place in the top five over at 'Allsorts' challenge, well done and totally deserved Lynn!
A quick whip through this week girls, but to check out what great snippets makes everyone else brought to the Playground just go here.
Last week's prize of the two sets of dies, 'Chevron Stripes' and 'Cloud Trio' by MFT, was won by:
And this week's prize is, as often is the case, connected to my snippets card:
Remember that it's the second week of the draw for the 'Lattice' folder - just enter three cards in total over the two week period to be in the draw, there are three to be won.
The Playground will run as usual this week with the gates closing at noon UK time on Saturday 13th July. Maximum of three entries and please say 'No thank you' in a comment if you wish to still play but not be a winner of this week's prize, shown above.
Mr Linky is below - hope you can come and play this week. The paddling pool is out and has warmed up nicely in the sunshine (but please get out if you need the rest room)! The diving board into the duck pond has been removed until the baby ducklings are bigger and can paddle/fly smartly out of the way :) The goat has been divested of my (now ruined) best party dress, the donkey is recovering from the shock of being used for show jumping trials and all is well - for now!
There were amazing entries over here last week! I'm either way ahead for this week or way behind for last week. It feels strange being her all alone. I'll just enjoy the peace and quiet for now! Lovely card, Di! I love flowers and butterflies!ReplyDelete
I promise to be on me bestest behaviour today at the races. I'm backing Miss Di to win hands down!!ReplyDelete

Hi Di - so pleased Cathy was the winner cos I will be getting to use those lovely dies too!! - I love your snippet card this week - amazing how that background paper and your stamping match up so perfectly - I love it - wouldn't be as "cute" if the background was just white - but then at the playground everything looks good... B Back Later - Hugs MxxReplyDelete

Thank you for this Challenge and a chance to win some Twinkling H2Os..... not sure what they are but they look mighty interesting. :-D
YaY.... my entry is No.5.. my favourite number... so I might just get lucky :-)
Have a fabulous day.
Your card is beautiful. That stamp is so pretty and the pearls really finish it off!
I finally took a little time to catch up on Little Miss C's blog. I am such a naughty Grandma but it is enough work to keep up my own and it seems I am always behind on that as well! lol
Trying to get to adding the finishing touches on a bunch of cards I made up at the lake. Then I can set them up to auto release while I am away. It always seems that my productivity depends on how many projects DH manages to get me involved in. lol
This is such a pretty card. I love those tiny flowers. I guess we have all cut round the outside of our dies for a narrow mat, but it annys me that we have to. It is time the makers realised what we all want! Kate xReplyDelete
Haha! How many times am I following Bonnie around! I, too, am switching gears and getting here early this week!ReplyDelete
Another really outstanding PCSP posting, Miss Di, and such a really pretty card! Wonderful highlights, congratulations to Cathy, and no thank you to your generous offer!
Since you also covered all the ins and outs of the playground critters after a little (!) fun was had, Bonnie and felt it only right to introduce the new unmolested parrot.
She made me do it.

Looksee. The minute me back is turned we get a new hanimal for the playground. We only have a Parrot called Moley. Lest ways I think that's its name!!ReplyDelete
Had a lovely time today on me bestest behaviour, well apart from the display stand that is. Hugs Mrs A.
Hello Di, your card is lovely - I think your choice of backing papers matches your coloured flowers perfectly. Once again you've chosen terrific cards to showcase this week - I love them all. Hope you had a great time with Mrs A today and bet you've both brought home a lot of lovely goodies. Hugs, Elizabeth xxReplyDelete
Stunning entries again this week and well done to those who were showcased.ReplyDelete
Pretty card from you today , sweet image and great papers.
Gosh I am so shattered from running round that tennis court this afternoon, haven't watch Wimbledon for years as I go so fed up of it just being ace's and no actually proper play, but decided to watch it today and was so glad that I did as to me it was a fabulous match, back to the old style tennis with lots of actually long rallies, very entertaining and superb play, just wish they had asked the guy with breathing problems to leave the court.
Well done Andy.
That is a vewy pwetty card Miss. I am a H2O virgin! About the only time I am a virgin unless you count virgin on the ridiculous!ReplyDelete
What about this parrot?? The chooks will not like it....they are a bit protective about their food you know!
I dread to think what the two of you got up to. Gin. Parrots. Display stand. Good Gawd, you two are a menace to society! Fab cards. XReplyDelete
Loved your flower branches & your sparkly butterfly. Thought your patterned background was just fine too! I'm amazed you even had time to do a card, with all you've had going. TFS & running the playground, and Big Congrats to Cathy R. Some lovely prizes there were. Have been enjoying some of the Ryn wins too. Wow!ReplyDelete
Woot woot #2 - another chrissy card - I don't think I have ever made so many... MxxReplyDelete
Congrats to Cathy, as well as all the other notables from the playground!ReplyDelete
Your card is beautiful DI, and I love that gorgeous butterfly too!
Here, hide that glue that you used to stick the egg to the spoon for the next race....Miss might realise we are cheating!!!!ReplyDelete
Love the blossom stamp, I have a stencil similar to this so would love to have the stamp too.
This is my third snippets card and so hope I might win the embossing folder. Would be greedy to want two though, but then I am greedy LOL Pass me a banana please!!
Hi Di - well that's number three - yippee..... MxxReplyDelete
No thankyous kindly to the stamp cos I bought the topper sheet on Sunday and Fluff gave me her H2'os.ReplyDelete
No thank you to the embossing folder cos Maureen kindly sent me one.
Dat parrot has gotta go. If it whistles at me one more times or shouts out Marilyn + something else I will glue its beak.
Hugs Mrs A.
Finally got a card posted! This windows 8 almost had me stumped!ReplyDelete
Things that worked last week suddenly couldn't be found...lol
