WOYWW - 145

Not a lot on my desk this week - just this:
Yes, you do see right - a paper sack with eye holes. Just 'rustled' up (ha, ha) yesterday afternoon when the enormity of this week's WOYWW hit me!

I won't be here at lunchtime today, instead I'm 'the stranger off the internet' who's meeting up with Julia, Queen of WOYWW, and Lunch Lady Jan about five minutes (for me) away from here - right next door to Hobbycraft (where else!).

OM Gosh!! I have to look out for their WOYWW badges so thought I maybe ought to go in disguise and check them both out first, before I decide whether to stay or run away :) Mind you, it's not exactly a very discrete disguise I must admit :(

Have a super WOYWW, whatever you have planned for today! Do go and check out what everyone else is up to today here - bet they aren't nearly as nervous as me!

Oh lucky you - have a fab time. Wish we were nearer - you might have had two more mad WOYWWers joining you! Do post the duvet - I will start again but just need to clear the decks and get a bit of sewing done for daughter M and a friends wedding. Thanks lots. x Jo

Lolol, love the disguise!! I'd have to have a considerably bigger bag though :) Just watch out for the two big noisy gals - please don't be nervous, we're really easy going!

How lovely. Do enjoy your lunch together. Tell them I send 'Greetings from sunny Spain'!
I might manage a brief blog later though I haven't anything to show. I have been in bed for a week with flu or 'gripe' (said gree-pay) as they call it out here, and I am just about feeling human again. I have to try and deliver a birthday card to a friend this morning, so maybe that will get me kick-started.

Oh Di, your picture has so made me laugh.
I remember the first time I meet my crafting pal Lythan for real, after getting to know each other on a craft forum. I spent ages loitering outside Art Base in Hornchurch because I didn’t want to be late and miss her. That was almost eight years ago and we’ve been firm friends ever since.
Hope you have a wonderful meeting with Julia and Jan…..and you really don’t need that paper bag, honest!

Happy Meeting!

Lucky you! Love the disguise - it's scary meeting strangers off the internet - it's turned out oK every time I've done it, so you should be fine. Tell us all about it tomorrow. Oh and yes, the pastry brush is to do with the Distress Inks, post coming later in the week! Karen 78 x

Think your disguise may fail - they know what your bag looks like now. always good to meet up with cyber, crafty friends. I've met quite a few in the past and got on like wildfire with all of them.
Enjoy your day.

Hello Di, so you're the strange person of the internet. That disguise should be enough to fool them :) Hope you have a great time and I suppose by now it's too late to warn you against overspending at Hobbycrafts - thought so - I look forward to a complete post on the experience :)) Elizabeth x #11

OMG! Given the state of affairs these days it is good to go in disguise and check them out first. Smart move. And that is the best disguise, so natural and will blend right into the crowds. Have a fun time!
