A purple Christmas

This week's challenge over at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge is to use purple on your card:

So, while I was 'at it', I made not one but two similar ones :)

I used:

- 6" x 6" square white card stock

- backing card by Kanban

- layered toppers, also by Kanban I think and already sparkly - from my store of goodies

- ribbon from the ribbon box tied in a bow, with a piece of iridescent twine threaded with a snowflake charm and also tied into a bow

It sure was cold and dreary weather over the weekend when I made these, don't tell me that Summer has already happened.

Don't forget, the snippets playground gates close at noon today and re-open at midnight.

And, if you want a lovely Lemon Drizzle Cake recipe, see just below. I just spotted that there are now only two end pieces left - that sneaky two-legged mouse found where I'd hidden it!!

Naughty mouse!
I like the snowflake charms hanging from the ribbon. They're ever so pretty.
Thanks for the welcome to the playground and for the heads up about the other kids!!

very pretty cards Di. I like using purple so I intended to do this challenge but I had birthday cards I needed to do first, and time has beaten me again. Must try harder!

I hope the sun shines for you again soon. Kate x

These are beautiful cards. They seem like they would be the kind of thing to make on a dreary day. NOT saying they are dreary but winter and Christmas isn't all sunshine and butterflies, ya know!

Two lovely cards - with lovely toppers and the ribbon is a gorgeous shade. The weather here has been wet and feels decidedly chilly after all the hot weather we had recently. We've even got the heating back on again. The long range forecast is for more of the same for the next two weeks!!! Hugs, Elizabeth x

Lovely cards Di :), the images are so pretty.

If you send the cake to our house, we'll keep it safe from that two-legged mouse, honest!

Have a great weekend, take care xx
