A Taste of Honey

I whipped up a few little note cards yesterday, to enclose with Snippets Playground prizes etc. :
I used:

- 4.75" x 4.75" square cream card stock

- SU embossing folder 'Textured Impressions - Honeycomb' and the same cream card stock

- snippets of gold coloured patterned paper

- the cutest little bee stamp by 'Rubber Stamp Tapestry', stamped with VersaFine 'Vintage Sepia'. It came from Beadaholique in the USA

- Elzybells sentiment, also stamped using VersaFine 'Vintage Sepia'

I did have such fun making these, snipping the little hexagons was fun 'cos I'm a sucker for fiddling on,  made easy after embossing the patterned snippets with the same folder as the main honeycomb.

  2. It's addictive isn't it? :) I could spend hours snipping those hexagons! I love how you stamped those little bees here and there too :) Cute card!

  3. This is most sweet especially in the light of the bee population being in decline. I was about to ask if you used your ickle rolling pin but I see the stamp is a rubber one!! Hugs Mrs A.

  12. Lovely card, Di. The sentiment is so cute. I can just imagine you clipping away at those hexagons - it's just the sort of thing you would do :) Hugs, Elizabeth xx

  15. Love what you have done with this EF. looks really great and I have got this too but not used it yet, played with an idea but needs a great deal of perfecting, unlike this card but you have given me a little idea, which I may or may not use, and that is embossing the paper too.
Do you think this folder will be worth a fortune soon as well, lol.
Oh gosh just poured a glass of wine and spilt half of it over some stamped images, what a waste of wine.

  16. What a sweet little card...perfect for the playground notes. Now you just need to fit in a little section for the grades! teehee

Sarn is doing a selection of little notes lately too...I am quite liking these and feeling the lure of creating some teensy cards to fit some small envelopes I have...off top the craftroom...toodles!

  17. WOW - this is one of the nicest cards I've seen using that embossing folder. Very stylish Di . . . love how you only used PART of the folder (how'd you do that then?).
