For once I'm ahead with this card, it was lying on my desk partially made on WOYWW yesterday, now finished and made for Len's very special great-nephew, Edward:
I realised how few stamps I have suitable for a young chap, not yet into his teens but probably past LOTV little boy images - Penny Black to the rescue, although I think am gonna need to look seriously at Kenny K or similar for some future makes as all the boys are growing up so fast.
The big pennant on the front of the card was made to echo the little ones in the backing paper - and the sentiment is layered onto circles to echo the dots :) Subtle huh?
I used:
- A5 cream 'stepper' card
- Penny Black Stickeroo from the 'Embrace' sheet
- backing papers from a free with QCME magazine, called 'Let's Fly Away'
- tangerine backing card
- sentiment stamped using an Elzybells stamp and SU's 'Tangerine Tango' ink pad
And, when the card didn't fit any A5 ready envelopes I had - out came the Enveloper Pro again, with heart in mouth and following Sarn's advice about adjusting sizes to suit plus snipping the corners - total success!!

Hi DI. You asked for an address for the fish and chip baby outfits. Just went to get link for you but it would seem that the people who had them from me the last time are no longer taking them. I have emailed another lady in the hope she can help and I will let you know if/when I have heard from her. Have you already made some? If not it might be better to look at other items they are now asking for. Will get back to you re this. Anne x
ReplyDeleteGreat card and of course I love the design of card!

Super card, Di. Love all those spots and the PB stamp, of course. Like you, I really don't have a lot of stamps suitable for boys of a certain age - never think of it until a birthday comes round, by which time it's usually too late :( Hugs, Elizabeth xx
ReplyDeleteDigi Stamp Boutique do a great range of images for boys, if that helps. I love the image on this one, stepper cards scare me, so I always admire them. X
ReplyDeleteThis is a sweet card, Di. I have grandsons from 1 yr. - 13 yr. and it's a challenge finding images for them.
ReplyDeleteHi Di, really cute stepper card! I got myself a hougie board for Christmas and tried making my first stepper recently and failed big time! It really was ugly, do you have any tips for a simpleton like me who just can't get it right? Thanks,
ReplyDeleteLaura xx
