WOYWW 187

Just a quickie to wish all you WOYWWers a very Happy New Year - here's hoping that 2013 is a great year for you all.

My hope is that's it's the year I solve a little mystery on my desk:
It's the little fella at back left on the glass cutting mat I'm fretting over

In the course of tidying up my desk after Christmas I found a little pea green plastic 'stud' thingy. No doubt if I throw it away it's gonna turn out to be something essential - not off the Cuttlebug 'cos that's pink, not off the new Xyron 'cos I've checked its nether regions thoroughly - besides which it's emerald and not pea green, not off the trimmer......in fact eet eez a total mystery :(

Absolutely baffled here - any ideas on a postcard please!

Now shooo, off you go to Julia's to see what she's up to, and thence to loads of other crafters linking in their desks - with or without a pea green stud to fret over.

Edit: Oh Sarn, you clever little Miss Marples!! Thank you for solving the mystery of the 'pea green stud' :) It was indeed from the new Cuttlebug labels die packaging - I found a video on YouTube demonstrating these fabby cut and emboss dies - and although the demonstrator had removed the studs when using the dies, those still in packaging on the demo table had the studs still in, holding the cardboard packaging in place!! Whoop, whoop - wouldn't you just know that a fellow crafter would have the answer, thank you soooo much :)

  1. Hhm, bit of a mystery object there Di, but I agree, the minute your turf it out you'll realise what it was for! Hate when that happens. Hope you have a wonderful 2013.

    Hugs

  2. I like a good mystery. Are you sure it's not a button? Got something strange on my kitchen window sill. Looks a bit like one of Nessie's humps! In fact it's the broken handle off The Docs fav coffee mug. Hugs Mrs A.

  3. Hi Di,
It seems to me like something old, but for you something new. At first I think is a button, but on the second look I think that is a part of some other stuff in your craftroom. Mystery.
I hope you find out what is it.
    Have a nice day,
    Tamara

  8. Definitely looks like something that is important doesn't it! I wonder if it is a foot off a xyron or some other piece of equipment? Put it in a drawer until you figure it out...if you don't in 6 months toss it. Hope you have a Happy and Prosperous New Year! I look forward to seeing your posts in 2013! Vickie #17

  11. Don't you just hate it when that happens? I leave it view for a number of weeks and hope the situation resolves itself and then chuck it in a drawer in the hope that it resolves itself and then throw it out and immediately find out what it was for!!

  21. Mystery solved! I have found a few random objects like that in my tidy-up sessions but most of them have been binned. (There wasn't too much else I was prepared to throw away!)

  22. Hello Di, glad the mystery has been solved but your post does prove that we crafters will not throw anything away - even little green studs :) Pretty crafty goodies on the mat there - looks as though you are ready to create something lovely. Wishing you a happy and healthy year ahead and I look forward to reading more of your posts throughout the year. Hugs, Elizabeth x #54

  23. I'm with the sachool of thought that it is a cuttlebug part (foot maybe) or that part to that tag.
It looks so much like the feet that broke of my brand new making memories cutter but they are pink feet...

Other than those suggestions, I would observe what wobbles in the New Year and then check and see if all the feet are there!!!

Have fun organizing...in spite of joking about it...I actually do like organizing...I like the finihsed result...off to sort all the drawers and cupboards now...teehee

  28. Well thank goodness for Sarn, mistery solved, I wouldn't have had a clue, lovely clean workspace, my Hubby wants to repaint my craftroom, very soon, so I have loads of things to sort out and I have got rid of lots of things already, mostly Christmas stuff that I have had for years and never used, but, I am certain that once it is gone I will need it.

What I love is what I see beyond the pea stud thingie! A spanky clean and shiny desk with supplies standing at attention, ready to spring into crafting action!!

Happy WOYWW and again, Happy New Year! Darnell
