WOYWW - 161

Wednesday and time for a trip round the planet to snoop on desks in every shape, size and form. After the shame of last week - I did a bit of a tidy up:
Such a relief to know that there's actually a bit of spare desk to work on now. I hereby pledge to keep it tidy - it's so much easier to think without being almost overwhelmed/surrounded by a mass of detritus, cr*p, rubbish stuff. That's not to say there isn't still a basket of goodies waiting to be used for the first time to the back right though :)

I can see some opalescent big gems waiting to be put away, the stuff to make a Christmas card and my new big boy laptop - which is driving me crazy 'cos I mostly touch type and keep hitting the wrong keys to the right hand side :( Love the huge screen though - cor, am I gonna be able to snoop today :)

Ah, and here are the final two lovely ATCs - I did find yours Kay, and it was indeed in a safe place as I thought:
Kay's fab Doodly Bird on the left and Mary's (GlitterGrammy) beauty to the right - aren't they both fabulous.

Oh dear, there's also a sign of my OCD streak - those big gems waiting to be put away have been neatly sorted into little squares while I was speaking on the phone to someone! The little charm is a silver plated fish bone BTW. Avon sometimes sell discontinued jewellery in their bargain booklets and I always look out for things like these little cuties.

Right, that's me done - now it's your turn to go leaping round everyone's desks - using Julia's as a launching pad. Have fun and Happy WOYWW!

    You're on the ball today Di. I haven't even put Tuesday to bed yet! You have a very tidy desk today. Too tidy for you, but I'm sure you'll soon be snowed under again.

    Tidying is a sure fire sign that a creative binge is coming.I find tidying sorts my thoughts, and I'm much more productive when I start with a tidy desk.

    Ooh, great minds think alike Di, I tidied too! Feels so much better now, hope the temps drop a bit after the weekend cause I don't much feel like messing it up at the moment.

    Lovely tidy desk, Di! Mine is very occasionally like that, but it doesn't stay like it for long, even if I'm not actually creating - it just becomes a dumping ground for everything else!

    Such a neat and tidy desk today Di, love the new lappy that screen looks huge. I often find I have made stuff into shapes and always like to have something to doodle on when on the phone, never been able to sit still lol. I am pleased you found your atc's cos they are gorgeous. Hugs, Amanda x

    Ooooh, I do love tidy desks...messy is stressy in my opinion, lol!! You see, I would make patterns out of those gorgeous little gems too - good tip about Avon as well.
    I have started to try a new little crafting venture - all will be revealed next week. It's a slippery slope from now on, I tell you!!

    Good grief, I'd be afraid to break the tidy! It's definitely easier to sit down and get on when all is tidy, I must say...although I can't admit to fiddling my gems into neat shapes...ever!!

    Mine is tidy too, and I agree it is so much easier to craft in a clean space, but so HARD to stick to the tidy resolution!

    Indeed very neat. As for my "Pizza" box, I don't think it was ever actually a pizza box really as I received craft items in it (some suppliers actually DO use inside-out pizza boxes but this one hadn't) I'd be more inclined to buy 12" papers on the internet than a pizza to get a box - LOL Thanks for stopping by BJ#18

    I wasn’t sure it was actually ‘your’ desk when I first saw the picture Di…..had to do a second take because I don’t think I’ve ever seen it that tidy, Lol!
    Great tip about Avon. Have a look in Primark too at the jewellery because they usually have lovely charm bracelets that you can pull apart and also very cheap.

    A tidy space is a tidy mind - don't know what that says about me then.
    I have a tin full of old and sale jewellery. Have you tried Primark, they sometimes have charm laden necklaces, and so cheap.

    Thank you for your 2 comments on my blog Di, and I'm thrilled that you want to swap ATCs with me!! That's great. I think there was an advantage in joining the swap unofficially and late, because I'm sure I'm ending up with more ATCs than I would have done if I'd signed up properly lol!! Glad you like what I've done. I've still got a few spares after sending off most of them, but I can always do more - I've got a whole stack of ATC-sized cards cut up and ready for drawing on!

    Oh be glad I am not your friend as I love to play with OCD's...hee hee I use to know a guy at work that would sort his m&M's into neat little color piles on a paper towel before he would eat them and I loved to walk by and tip the corner of the paper towel up and mix them all back together! I thought it was fun....lol...he put up with my humor and would go back to sorting! lol waving hi from the hills of North Carolina with a hot dog in one hand and a flag in the other! :) #37

    Looks lovely, like the gems, can you find anything though. I always find when I have a tidy that things seem to go missing. Lost 2 cards I made for my eldest Grandson, teacher thank you cards all ready except for putting the names on, no idea where they are searched everywhere.

    Used to sort my tubes of smarties out like that. Into the colours and then eat the odds to make sure each colour had the same number and then eat one round at a time. (I think the gods had me sorted out to be an accountant even then)!!! Hugs Mrs A.

    OMG that's tidy! I love it when my desk is tidy, cos i can see what I'm doing and find everything, but most of the time I;m just too impatient to start the next project so I don't tidy the leftovers away until i can't stand it any more - and that can mean one HUMONGOUS mess :-)

    I live by the motto, a messy mind is a creative mind - my excuse and I;m clinging to it tooth and nail loL!!
