Have yourself a happy little Christmas tree!

The current challenge over at Less is More is to use designer paper on your card - so I set to and made a couple of these, both the same:
I used:

- 6" x 6" white card blank with the top right hand corner rounded

- a silver gel pen for the cords and little bows - I did those first and worked out the positions so that the fir tree bough and the baubles would be lined up properly when they were added

- a plain green snippet for the tree bough, die cut using a Marianne Creatables die 'LR0181'

- baubles die cut from a purple patterned snippet suing SU's 'Holiday Ornaments' framelits dies, and small snippets of silver card die cut with the same dies for the 'caps'

- sentiment was stamped using Memento 'Elderberry' and a sentiment stamp from the Woodware 'Tipsy Tree' set

Two more for the box and they were quick and easy too.

Of course I'm also linking this card into Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra for November, where it's always 'Anything Goes'.

I'm gonna whisper this, today (Tuesday as I type) is the best I've felt in a week - no trampolining for me just yet but I think this ole gal's back might finally be improving - fingers crossed! Thank you all so much for your lovely comments, the best medicine possible!

  10. PS, the fact that your back is dare I say it, better, does that mean I should cancel the zimmer in Bath then?

  12. A relatively simple card but those added little touches take it from being nice to being special. I think the silver gel pen for the cord is an excellent idea. Thank you for your lovely comments.

  14. I was going to say that you did not use designer paper on your card! But then I see how you did. Very sneaky slipping in. Happy day to you, ma'am.

  20. Oh, Di, sorry to read that you've been in pain with your back while I've been out of touch ... I can't turn my back for a minute! Great card, with a lot of thought put into the design too. It seems you are making two of every 'C' card ... one way of making sure you have plenty come the day :) Hope your back recovers completely soon. Hugs, Elizabeth xx

  21. Still wearing my paper bag!. Nearly worn the keys out on me keyboard. Love the pieced baubles. Still haven't touched my bauble dies yet. So much to do so little time. Thank you for joining in at Crafty Hazelnuts Extra this month. Hugs Mrs A. (GDT).
