Twinkle, twinkle, Christmas Star and no WOYWW

Skipping WOYWW once again :( Keeping up with other things, like housework (sob), is my priority right now.

The current challenge over at Winter Wonderland is 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Christmas Star':
I used:

- 5" x 7" white card stock

- Nellie Snellon image called 'Hokey-pokey', (I always thought it was the Hokey-cokey?) stamped in Memento 'Tuxedo Black', coloured with Pro Markers and tickled with Glamour Dust here and there

- SU glittery silver card, scallop die cut for behind the image and cut with the 'scallop' blade on my rather wonky-doodle (as opposed to hokey-pokey) Woodware trimmer for behind the patterned card and sentiment

- Kanban's 'Merry Mistletoe' patterned card - I love the soft blue of this card for a change (by the way, FoilPlay have quite a bit of Kanban stuff in stock)

- sentiment is by Hero Arts called 'Twinkle Border', bought for a 'snip' and then bravely embossed with Stampendous 'Sterling Silver' without any mishaps. I thought the sentiment just right for the challenge and this image :)

- iridescent ribbon wrapped round the patterned card and topped with a 'looped bow thingy' then an iridescent sparkly snowflake button, threaded with doubled iridescent cord tied in a bow - that's a lorra iridescent :)

Partway through making this card I spotted that Christmas at Sweet Stampin' are asking for colours other than red or green - wahoo! And, it's a new month over at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra. Three challenges with one card, almost a record for me :) Off to bed, this is scheduled and will link to the challenges when my Prince kisses me 'Good Morning my darling Princess'..........I might be some time waiting though :(

Edit: And Hazel said I can enter this into her current challenge over at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge - the theme is a Christmas Carol or song - I had wondered because although it's a song I wasn't sure if Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star qualified 'cos it's not strictly Christmas based but now that Miss Hazel has said it's fine here I go :)

  1. You might not be joining in totally this week again, but do pop in to see some of us, just as a break from that dreaded housework. I am into bread making again tomorrow, as what we have left is only fit for toast. so my visiting will be fitted in between kneading and proving etc. That is a very cute image on your card. Kanban stuff is always good isn't it? Have a good week. xx Maggie

  11. Aww Di she's absolutely beautiful! Love that glittery paper, it's extra glittery and well done for pulling out the embossing powder too! I've added another photo to my woyww post as I finished the fingerless glove I started last week, not sewn up yet though!!

  12. STOP STOP STOP cleaning that is a dirty word, start creating it is better for the soul. Yoda hates me cleaning, I don't think his abusers ever used a Vacuum Cleaner as he runs for his little life when it comes out.

    Lovely card, create more.

    Happy WOYWW

  15. FoilPlay..... nice, just dropped 50 quid there missus!!! I didn't know Kanban had closed their doors either. I like their stuff so that's a shame. I got quite a lot of their toppers for me mam as I know she likes that type of crafting.

    Hugs (again)

  18. Oh dear, Di, that dreaded H word - and interfering with playtime too! However, I know the urge - I keep seeing jobs that need to be done - especially when the sun streams through the windows !!!

Lovely card and I see you've dug out one of the fancy blades for the trimmer at last :) Mine's wonky-doodle too ... must be wear and tear.

Have a nice day cleaning :) Hugs, Elizabeth xx
