A partridge in a pear tree

This week's challenge over at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge is to base your card on Christmas music - a carol, song or just to incorporate music into your Christmas card. I chose The Twelve Days of Christmas, and it was fascinating to read up on, the internet, the religious significance of the twelve gifts:
Once again, a recycled (or is that now going to be up cycled?) Christmas card from the 2011 little pile here caught my eye :)

I used:

- 7" x 5" white card stock

- image from a Christmas card, with the border trimmed off

- Shiny gold mirri card and Kanban 'Tartan' card as backing

- sentiment by Craftwork cards

- dark green ribbon from the ribbon box

- dark green Josy Rose nail heads

Another one for the box, but, despite what might seem a load of cards already made for Christmas - I just counted up and there are only 16 in there :(  I can see some batch card making being the order of the day at this rate!

  6. What a gorgeous card, where did you get the lovely tartan paper? I've been after one like that for ages - I've got some freebie stamps I'd love to use it with! Maybe we should make more on Rudolph Day - we always need more!
