Egyptian Queen

Today is going to be a mad rush to write the roll call and try to make a snippets card for myself. The wedding stationery is also being collected and then I'm off out later this afternoon to meet up with Sandra of Stamping for Pleasure , that should be great fun (whoop, whoop!) - so meanwhile, here's a real quickie:
I found a Kanban 'Egyptian' card kit from QVC, partly used, languishing in a box the other day. At the time it was great value, and some places still stock the toppers - the one above is decoupaged so that the second image echoes the one to the right and underneath.

It's one of my favourites in the whole set - I love the reflection effect on the head dresses etc. - purely from clever colouring. A lot of foiling in the kit as well, right up my street!

Let's hope I manage to do the roll call this morning, otherwise I could be working through the night :)

Have a great weekend, whatever you have planned!

  2. Thanks for giving me the extra go on the swings, Di. That will be fun, especially if it ever stops raining this week. Our garden is flooded and totally sodden. You can thank Shaz Silverwolf for me reminding you about those fans, she put me on to them in the beginning. I also have to thank you for reminding me that i have some Egyptian stuff languishing in my bits and pieces box from a freebie set ages ago. Your lovely card has inspired me to dig it out and Use It Up in 2012. Have a great day out and i hope to be around to visit on Sunday. xx Maggie
