Christmas Pedal Power

I was given the SU 'Pedal Power' stamp set as a gift by a very dear blog buddy - and to my shame this is the first outing :
I used:

- 5" x 7" white card stock

- elements from SU's 'Pedal Power' stamp set - although to make it festive I just drew some holly in the front basket and added a few little pearls as berries. My guess is that the rider will have to ride along with the parcel stack perched on their head :)

- green snippet of card, die cut with oblong Nestie

- sentiment from the Woodware Clear Magic stamp set - 'Christmas Bubble Tree'

- a couple of embossed lines towards the top and bottom of the card - you can see them if you look closely, and you can also see that the white image card has been cut wonky :( My in-house critic noticed it right away so this card will be going to someone with myopia :)

I'm entering this into this week's Less Is More challenge - which is red and green. I got the red and green, and hopefully the LIM side of it - nil points for execution with the trimmer though, sigh :(

WOYWW today, but I'm missing in action I'm afraid - tail-chasing here and much as I love joining in there isn't enough time to play fair. Anyhow, due to the 'inability to find any space to work'........I tidied my desk up and it looks too good to be true. In fact, it's really rather boring :(

  1. Great minds and this proves it!! When shall we introduce each other to our respective families as long lost twins, separated at birth? (I hope that's not an insult as I think you're way younger than me. Poor Mum had years-long labor!!) Mwah! Darnell

Absolutely FAB pimped-up Christmas bike here Di . . . LOVE it! Great idea to have the balloons coming off at an angle from the seat too . . . gives the impression of motion.

  10. We will miss you!
I am heading up to the post office in about an hour. Uggggh the ladies are nice enough...friendly actually but it is just a frustrating experience.

Your depth of the regular envelope is the correct but not the other measurements. The larger envelope is a different depth that us.

Thanks for you kind offer but you gave me a great idea. I will try the United States PO We are only 15 minutes from the border and go down for gas and groceries (milk, butter, eggs etc about once a week. DH's sister lives in a village just across the border so we meet up with her too.
Otherwise, I am coming to England in Aug for about 3 weeks...maybe 4 and will just get one while over there.

I will be in London, HemelHempstead, the Lake Distric, Sheffield, Filey, and Scarborough for sure and hope to get to Scotland and maybe across to Ireland for a quick getaway,,,maybe a night or two htere. We also hope to do a quick getaway somewhere hot...maybe 3 - 5 days in Spain??? Where will depend on the bargains on offer! teehee

  13. I have stamp envy now. I love this image but could never get one without spending the mortgage money! Love what you have done with it. I do now have an Artistic Outpost version though it goes the other way. Still I can get my "chicken in a basket" scene now"!
I wanted to see your desk today too!
After reading Mo's comment I need to lie down. I am shattered now!

  17. Love your little bike. Bit cold to be riding around on though. Does Myopia come in pill form so I can feed some to The Doc? Driving me and Peter The Painter nuts at the moment. He decided on Saturday to change the colour we wos having in the lounge after Peter The Painter had already bought the said paint. Green paint anybody? I can scrap some off The Doc's head if u like. 18. I think you're right about tidy being boring... and I never think of myself as boring...hence the mess I work in!
    Your card looks great!
    Thanks so much
