WOYWW 185

This time next week the fat man in the red suit will have been and gone so it didn't seem right to skip out of the fun on WOYWW yet again..............I need to nose around what's going on, despite some tail chasing. This is what my desk was like yesterday just after dark:
A couple of cards awaiting inserts, my LIM card for this week's challenge, letters to post, ripped out page from a craft magazine behind 'cos I love the birdie stamps and neeeeed them, a flyer from a local charity who takes donations of TVs and those flipping new ink pads still waiting for a home. So exciting, no? Sigh - it sure isn't but one thing is................

I WISH ALL YOU WOYWWers AND ANY OTHER WONDERFUL CRAFTING FRIENDS THE VERY BEST FOR A MARVELLOUS CHRISTMAS AND A FABULOUS 2013 :)

Yup, I shouted that - and to see what anyone else could be shouting, please hop over to Julia's here.

We were in Southern Germany and not at home enough to be aware of the dreadful tragedy unfolding in Connecticut - I've wept since we came home and realised the full extent of what happened and can only join in the thoughts and prayers of others for the families involved. For them, Christmas will never, ever, be the same as it was before.

  3. Hi Di,

It has been really tough not to just collapse in front of the TV in shock and disbelief. Lots of us in the crafting community have kids or grands the same age, so for their sake we get up and keep going so they can have their birthdays and Christmas.

Wishing you a Happy Holiday, my friend, and all the best in the new year!! Darnell (no link up here yet for WOYWW.)

  4. Can't even imagine what those poor parents must be going through. It is just so terrible!

Your desk looks like mine, a little bit here, a little bit there but not too, too bad!!!

Merry Christmas Di...I have a little surprise for the playground this week but I promise he does exactly what teachers sez!

  15. Shame Reagan saw fit to start closing down all the mental health facilities, there's not a single one left in Michigan now and people who need help aren't getting it. There's a price to pay for everything but it shouldn't be innocent little children. Hope you and Len have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year too.

  16. Hello Di,

You are right, I'm sure you and Len drove by the National Cemetery while visiting Santa Fe.

You are quite the traveler! I hope you enjoyed Germany. It brings to mind warm beer and brats and sauerkraut.

I agree with some of the other comments. Mental health needs to be addressed in the US. It's so very sad in so many ways.

Merry Christmas to you and Len!

  23. Great tidy desk Di, interesting items and me made think what is the LIM challege this week must check it out as I haven't made a card for a week.
Sometimes if I am awake in the middle of the night I think about my Grandson's and what on earth would I do if anything happened to them so it is not just the poor parents the range of horror.
I have voiced an opinion t my Hubby about these nutters going to schools and killing innocent children but dare not really post it on here.
