Rudolph Day - January 2015

It's Scrappy Mo's first time at hosting the Rudolph Day Challenge, since taking over from Sarn. Already folk are buzzing in and out linking up to Mo's blog HERE, so of course I had to join in the fun:
I used:

- 6" x 6" square white card blanks (I made three cards all exactly the same!)

- the image is a pre-coloured LOTV one from their 'Christmas Angels' Art Pad, die cut using a Lil' Inkers 'Stitched Rectangles' die - and I also added a little tickle of Clear Wink of Stella to the wings and also the little starry halos :)

- the plain backing card is SU's 'Wisteria Wonder, topped with patterned paper from LOTV's 'Frosty Christmas' paper pad

- in one corner I added a 'Snowflake Corner', Memory Box die cut from white card

- the sentiment banner was stamped using Memento 'Gray Flannel' ink and a stamp from the Creative Expressions sentiments set called 'Joy to the World'. I've said before, this set comes with loads of lovely sentiments

- then I just trimmed the banner to size and punched the fishtail using SU's 1" square punch

- final touch, Josy Rose matt silver nail heads at one end of the banner

This card is also for Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge - where the theme this week is 'Joy to the World', and also Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra for 'January - where it's always 'Anything Goes'.

And to prove that I really did make three cards the same, even though Mo only wanted one card:

That brings the total made so far for 2015 to 15 :)

  1. What a sweet image this is and a beautiful card. I love that die cut in the corner. It points to the focal point and adds so much to the card with the snowflake paper.

  2. Well aren't they just the cutest little trio of Angels. Butter wouldn't melt in their mouths. Love the corner swirls. All go here as Peter the Painter is due next Monday. The internet seems to have settle down for the moment. Our service provider kept telling us no fault found on the line!! Where have I heard that old chestnut before!! hugs Mrs A.

Thanks for the little advert for my challenge. Finally have internet and feel connected to the world again! teehee

Unpacking the family rooms of the house is going well, but the craft room is still a sea of boxes! Will not start unpacking in there for about 2 weeks as we are having workmen in to do some reno's. It is setting my craft unpacking schedule back a bit!

  17. Hi Di,
sorry I haven't been around much.
My DH has had a slipped disc, and been in bed for ten days, as that was the only way to stop the dreadful pain he was in.
He is on the mend now thank goodness.
You don't realize how much they do for you until they can't.
Love these super cute Rudolf cards.
The images are so cute and just what you expect from LOTV.
    Love your great designs too.
Hope to be back with a snippets soon.
Lots of crafty love. jenny L.

You already know I'm crazy about those stitched dies, and it surely set off this little heavenly choir. Thanks for joining in 2015's #1 Rudy Day. Hugs

  25. You are ever the inspiration, Di! Another absolutely darling card from you! Alas, I only made one of my Rudy card, but I have resolved to make more sets this year. Sigh. I hope to manage it, but then we first have the Valentines which I haven't started, then Easter ... thank goodness for the summer lull in holidays, even if it is hard to think of Christmas then. Needs must!! Hugs, Darnell
