Less is More - Yellow and Green

The current challenge over at Less is More is to use Yellow and Green. Spring came to mind but then I opted for yellow Summer roses using a favourite stamp:
I used:

- 5" x 7" white tent fold card blank

- Penny Black 'Love Blush' stamp, stamped with Memento 'Tuxedo Black' ink pad and coloured with Whispers pens and die cut using a Nesties 'Floral Oval' die

- the sentiment is by SU from the 'Sincere Salutations' set, stamped using SU's 'old Olive' ink pad

- green backing paper is from LOTV's 'Woodland Wishes' paper pad

It isn't quite as Less is More as I'd have liked but at least I didn't paper piece the petals and leaves like I often do when using this much loved stamp :)

Thank you so much for the lovely comments yesterday about Sue, I gave myself a good talking to and my selfish 'pity party' is over. Forward march!

  1. CAS and gorgeous!! Love the color combo and that frame! I think I must need that one. So very pretty.

  7. I love this CAS card Di - such a pretty image. I never seem to go for this type of stamp (slap my wrist) I don't know why when they look so good.

Thank you so much for your comments about my card - the cats send you a hug - atchoo atchoo!!! lol.

    Hugs to you Sue Pxxx

  11. Such a pretty stamp and your card is quite CAS and beautiful!
Of course I had to link up a card with the Snippets Playground - can't let that pass...

  12. Gorgeous card, love that stamp! I have learnt about working with the Martha Stewart clay and colours over the past year as I persuaded my DH that I needed the kit last Xmas and the one before lol, two different kits. The colours are very bold and I've not opened the new set of clay yet because I want to get more white clay before opening up the coloured ones. If you ever get stuck or have any questions - just give me a yell and I will try to help you xx

  13. Beautiful CAS card Di, those roses are very pretty in their frame, Cathy x

  14. Lovely card, I love the rose stamp and your lovely colour combination.
    Jean x

  15. Love the stamp and a great make for the LIM challenge, Brilliant card.

    Kath x

  16. That gorgeous Nestie is perfect for your beautiful roses!

  17. A very lovely simple card. The frills of the die cut you used really make it seem elegant.

  18. Lovely. One of my fav S/B's; a very pretty image & love your marker coloring. Very delicate & spring-ish. DP is perfect with this image and the sharp contrast of the white elegant S/B. Gotta go find out about this 'pity party'. Not sounding like our Miz Pixie atall. Take care. TFS & Hugs

  19. Such a pretty stamp and card Di!
