Taken just before I ran away yesterday afternoon to have a break. Working on repetitive makes is
It's only 80 wedding invitations, 50 folded ones that I'm doing first ready for the inserts as the bride and groom haven't finalised the wording as yet. Then 30 evening function ones just in postcard style. Colours are aubergine and white and each of the 80 envelopes will have a little swirly heart stamped on the back in aubergine :)
Lots of threading diamante hearts onto ribbon to do, but first it's measuring, cutting and layering.
For much more exciting things to see, do hop over to Julia's here and thence other desks, floors, dining tables, trays and beds - even my little white fluffy 'screen duster doggie' looks fed up and a bit bored :)
Crumbs, this 'burning the midnight oil' lark means I hopped in at number 12 this week!
Happy WOYWW!
Di

hey Di, Now I know what I'm looking at. It's not midnight here, but I'm loving the oil you're burning (grin).

I don't think i could do repetitive tasks either, I would want to start wandering from the brief and sticking random bits on here and there. I struggle when anyone asks for a copy of a card I have made lol. A very tidy desk too and wonder if it will still be as tidy tonight lol. Hugs, Amanda x
ReplyDelete"only" 80?? I can't do repetition I get distracted and bored so am very impressed. You are also very neat.... Have a lovely week. Helen 18
ReplyDeletesuper pretty invites, I am not sure I would have the patience to do 80 it takes me long enough to do one card lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing

You need a little helper - now if only they had perfected that Startreck "teleporter". My walk is cancelled so I could lend a hand! lol x Jo
ReplyDeleteHi there, fellow early birder!! LOL. I don't normally stay up that late but I just clicked on at random and there it was with Sarah at No 1 again - how does she do it??
ReplyDeleteYou are good, doing all those invitations - I just know that I'd lose the will to live after 15....
Like your duster doggy! Think we need a close up of him next week :)
Hope you are well!

ReplyDeletelovely invites... I am a bit of a nerd and love doing the repetition stuff... Happy Easter x
ReplyDeleteAh the smell of burning oil and repetitive work, definitely invitation time! Ah they're looking great Di, majorly worthwhile gal!
ReplyDeleteI love the color on those invitations! I definitely know about repetitive stuff and needing those breaks! Happy WOYWW #31
ReplyDeleteYou look super organised, Di and the stationary looks gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteIs that sunshine catching your mat there, not much of that to be had here today in the withering North. We've had a howling gale and snow. What happened to Summer, is it over?
Hope you have a lovely Easter if I don't manage to get back again this week.
Hugs Lisax
Very nice and neat, invites look good. It is all very well designing invites, when you are just doing a one off for the sample, it is when you have to do loads that you wish you had never started.
ReplyDeleteKath x
Know what you mean about mass production - good luck with that one! They do look very nice!
ReplyDeletehappy woyww

I know what you mean about repetitive card making - boring with a capital B!! They do look rather nice tho!
ReplyDeleteTrust you to have a pink laptop!!
Hope you are over the shock of my desk being tidy!!
Hello Di, had to visit you before turning in. I think making anything more than once would have me heading for the hills though love the colours and the invitation does look lovely. Hope you had a great day despite the repetitive task. Elizabeth x #147
ReplyDeleteOh your a master at bulk making Di you'll have them done in no time...... lol it will be nice to see your finished invites your desk looks nice and tidy too!:)x
ReplyDeleteThe cards are lovely! Right before I hit the hay, I try to add my link. This week is the lowest number I've done yet. :) Happy Easter and WOYWW! Warmly, Tracy #28
ReplyDeleteGood luck Di with all the wedding stationary, they do look really pretty though, they are gorgeous.

I remember the repetitiveness of making invitations. Great feeling when their done. They're looking great Di. Thanks for sharing. #35
ReplyDeleteHi Di
ReplyDeleteThat wedding work looks fantastic!!
Love the aubergine.
I am in the middle of 120 order of service booklets .. .. pages and covers and cutting out for decoration taking up far too much space LOL!!!
Love Jules xx
Beautiful wedding cards, simple and stylish, thanks for sharing x
ReplyDeleteSophie no.71
great looking desk Di. Your wedding cards are nice even if they seem a bit tedious to you! Hope you have a great Easter. Vickie @60
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice card factory you have going there. That is the best way to mass produce even if it is a little mind boggling. Keep it up, a little at a time and it will be done before you know it.
ReplyDeleteFunny you should mention Wedding invites. I'm busy making paper roses (100 of the blighters to exactly match the purple ribbon on the invites that Fluff made for her Bruv's nuptials at the end of this month. Burning the midnight oil as I type and after that I've got the ring cushion to make.
ReplyDeleteHugs Mrs A.
Such beautiful invites!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
I am not sure I would be the best to do a complete set of wedding stationary, as I don't much like repeating anything I have made before. It has to be slightly different, which is not what is wanted for a job like that. They are really very pretty, especially with the little hearts. Hope you manage to take a break from them over Easter. Have a good week. xx Maggie #9
