Designer Len strikes again!

This post is mostly for my own use, to remind me of what we did for Taylor's 8th Birthday card. Yup, it sure was we,  as Len totally pulled all the elements together  to make up this little scene:
I used:

- 4.5" x 7" white card blank, tent style

- the image panel created by Len from free sources on the internet (didn't dare mention that the cop is wearing a USA uniform though), just printed onto white card stock and trimmed down

- piece of red card stock to form a narrow frame around the image, then glued image onto it before adding the whole panel to the card front

Right now, Taylor (a neighbour's little boy) is mad about anything to do with the police. Len has given him some bits and bobs from his time working with our UK Metropolitan Police up in London. And he even bought him a proper police whistle not so long ago - not sure how happy Taylor's Daddy was with that bright idea I must admit :)

  1. Excellent idea Di, I am sure he will love it

  2. Hi Di, a great card for a Police enthusiast, love how you personalised it, PC 008 for a 8year old and his name. Love that Len got a real Police Whistle for the little lad, I bet it made his day. (maybe not his folks though!) Have a wonderful week... Megan

  3. Adorable card for a future policeman!

  4. This is a great card for a police mad little boy! Love it xxx

  5. Well done Len - I'm sure Taylor will be thrilled. I remember many years ago some misguided person put a police style whistle into my younger brother's Christmas stocking - very noisy!!

  6. Fab scene by Len . . . Watch out, he'll be die cutting something next! Xxx

  7. Oooh lovely and he will love it too! x

  8. Adorable scene, Len. He really does need a regular design spot here, maybe once a month so he doesn't get stressed?

  9. A wonderful collaboration! Cara x

  10. Len sure is the keen one to help out with these cards for the kids! This one will delight Taylor no end!! Hugs, Darnell

  11. Great idea, and surely your little neighbour will jump for joy looking at it! :) Congrats to Len

  12. Hi Di,
what a brilliant card and the design is fab and wonderfully created.
    Clever Len.
I bet the young man was overjoyed with this wonderful card.
I remember a card I made for my BIL that had a cup of tea on as he drank enormous amounts of tea each day.
Hubby piped up and said how about putting tea in the cup which I did with just theright colour Pro-Marker so our other halves do know how to design too don't they.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  13. Well done Len, a super card for the little lad. Di just don't let him buy Taylor a real Police siren? Great card.

  14. I love this. The world needs good officers. It's a hard job.

  15. Brilliant card, Len, very clever design. I'm sure little Taylor was thrilled to receive it. xx

  16. Oh no, my comment just disappeared and I wasn't finished. Anyway.....

Great card Len! You must have been thinking of the cops in New Mexico? tee hee. I imagine the neighbors might not like the whistle and send Taylor over to visit a bit more often???

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

I have only 31 more working days!!

    Hugs (and humphhh)

  17. Fab card! Well done Len! I bet Taylor loved it! How cool Len gave him a real police whistle - his parents can wear ear defenders! Tee hee! xxx
