My
Favourite
Five
Christmas Cards 2015
As usual at this time of year it's Debby's annual challenge, and although I'm much happier doing the Playground Weekly Picks, these are my own favourite Christmas card makes of 2015:
I made this cute card to kick start the 208/209 Playground Celebration Giveaway. Actually made two the same and gave one to Len at Christmas - he loves it!
I'd seen a lot of similar cards around blogland and eventually made this version.
It's the Sizzix die set that does most of the work here - although adding the snowflake does add that little something extra :)
I make no excuse, this die was used on one of my Favourite Five Christmas cards last year as well, although this time round I didn't add anything other than infills to the die cut and a peel off sentiment.
Looking back over the year, I noticed that I don't seem to make as many elaborate designs with additions such as bows, lace, buttons etc. - but I did have fun making this card way back in January 2015.
You still have time to join in the fun over at Debby's - and no doubt she'll soon be asking for your Five Favourite Cards of 2015. That gets trickier, looking at non-Christmas makes!

Great selfie pics, Di! The candle dies would be on my favorites list every year--love that card! The window with the little poinsettias is a stunner--love it, too! Happy, Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous top picks. I am sure you had trouble narrowing down them only to five. Love them all. I think simplicity works so well with Christmas cards (well, why not also for other occasions too).
ReplyDeleteHAPPY NEW YEAR!
Hugs,
Eemeli
All so pretty I love the window card

Some lovely cards Di. I especially like your version of the window one. It looks like you used a dotted vellum so it looks like it's snowy, and the poinsettias at the windowsill are such a pretty splash of color.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards, Di! I love them all, but the second is my favorite. I wonder why? :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Em xxx

ReplyDeleteThese are all fabulous makes, but I'm partial to the gold and red mirrored candles! How elegant and polished, not to mention stunning! I love them all, thanks for sharing them!
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous selection of cards, Di! I love them all. I think lots of layers are becoming a little less fashionable, possibly due to the extra postal charges! Love what you have done with those gorgeous dies. I also love the vintage feel of your last one too x
ReplyDeleteOooo what a super collection of Xmas cards, Luv Sam x
ReplyDeleteAll of your cards Di and stunning xx
