Here's my snippets card for today:
- 6" x 6" square cream card blank
- snippets of plain pink and cream card
- Martha Stewart 'Daisy' edge punch
- snippets of LOTV's 'Country Lady' paper pad
- stamps from the Inky Doodles set called 'In my Heart'. I stamped the frame onto a cream snippet using VersaMagic's 'Pink Petunia' and the sentiment using Memento's 'Toffee Crunch' then fussy cut round the outline of the 'frame' There's also a sweet little heart stamp in the set so I stamped one of those to pop just above the tied ribbon
- cappuccino coloured ribbon from the ribbon box
- Josy Rose matt green nail heads just to finish off
Let's move onto this week's picks - the usual tricky decisions to make:
Pat brought us this amazing card - wow, I love the embossed background and every single detail - including the beautiful dress - is just perfect!
Ooops, my allocated time at the laptop is almost up so it's time to welcome two new playmates:
Hope you come back and play often girls - you're both off to a flying start!
And now for the winner of the 'Poppy Patch' die:
And this coming week's prize is:
Yup, it's an Inky Doodles stamp set the same as the one I used on my snippets card today.
As we're on the theme of romance and roses, I'm including this lovely pre-loved 'Artistic Rose' stamp by Hero Arts, which was kindly donated to the toy box by Karen P (along with quite a few other goodies which will appear over the coming weeks).
The snippets challenge will run for one week and the Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday 15th February January and will open again at midnight UK time on the same day. Maximum of three entries and please say 'No thank you' in a comment if you wish to still play but not be the winner of the prize.
Both items are one prize but can you please say if you aren't playing for either of the items in this week's prize 'cos then I could do a second draw for whatever it is the first prize winner doesn't want.
Please NEVER be afraid to say you're just playing for fun - it doesn't offend me at all, and the Playground is first and foremost for us to have fun, the prizes are just a thank you for playing :)
Mr Linky is below - please let me know if you have any problems linking, I can sort it out for you quite quickly and am always happy to do so.
Have a great week and hope to see you in the Playground.
Di (and a very wet and soggy wave from Parsnip)
okay, let's see if i can sort this out. thank you for visiting my blog and sending me to this site. i do a lot of snippet cards as i tend to be a very frugal stamper. will read the rules and see about the posting. Please dry out. all soggy is no fun at all.ReplyDelete

Di please can I have your address as I would love to donate to the playground too - if you send me a message on my blog I promise not to post it for the whole world to see. I have some great stamps I've ended up with two of and still have some bits left from when I ran Bah! Humbug!

Now, about that ark!
Err, can I ask a question please Miss (I've got my hand raised!) . . . as it's Week 111 . . . do we all have to stand on one leg (like what the cricket umpires do????) xxxReplyDelete
Well, thought I would pop in and see what was happening, ended up being blown away by all the wonderful cards and purchasing a patchwork card template and adding more to my "to do" list.ReplyDelete
Lovely card from you too.
Hi Miss Di and a soggy Parsnip,ReplyDelete
Love the snippets you have created.
Those papers are really fab, and what wonderful stamping.

Hi Di, just nipping by to enter this weeks challenge and apologies I missed last week as I intended to make something and enter and the days just flew by. There are so many wonderful creations entering I don't know how you chose the line up each week. Anyway if my name is randomly picked I don't need the wooden stamp but the clear ones look fabulous. Have a good week and love your card too. xReplyDelete
Love your card. I can see why it is a hard decision to find just one card that you like the best - with so many lovely cards entering.ReplyDelete
Beautiful card Di, so soft and gentle with a brilliant sentiment.ReplyDelete
Can I please say no to the prize.
A brilliant selection of cards this week.

Hello Di, such a pretty card and great cutting skills - I thought that was a die cut!ReplyDelete
Thanks for showing my card and congrats to everyone else - such a great range of fab work.
I'd also like to say thanks to you and some of the other gals in the playground, for leaving comments on my blog - you all made me feel so welcome.
Beautiful card, Di--love every detail! Great selection showcased from the gallery, to! Sure hope you get to dry out before too long. We're still buried in snow--so unusual for us. You can keep me out of the drawing for the rose stamp as I have a huge collection. If postage wasn't so expensive from here I'd send some for you to giveaway.ReplyDelete
Well, I am surprised and delighted to see I won that gorgeous die! Thank you so much!ReplyDelete
I only made it round to about 40 of the entries, so now I feel guilty. I have been away for a couple night getaway with dH...so now that we are back I will visit those I missed last week too.
There are so many fab cards entered that I hate to miss any!
Just uploaded my "snippets"ReplyDelete

Hello Di, lovely card, the paper is gorgeous and I love the stamp set ... I think you are trying to break my will by using fab stamps like these :) Another great showcase - many thanks for including my patchwork card ... those templates are super useful. got my fingers crossed that we don't need to build an ark ... if we did, and we went on two by two, we would need to find a girl bear to keep Parsnip company! Hugs, Elizabeth xxReplyDelete
I managed to get one done and linked up Miss! Has anyone got any chocolate cake - after the day we've had I need it so much. Will try to visit some of the ladies this week, but got to go lie down for a bit lol! xxReplyDelete
Hi Di, I love your pretty card. I have that paper pad too and it is gorgeous.ReplyDelete
