- 5" x 5" square white card blank
- rub-on transfers from a lovely set by Kaisercraft called 'The Lake House'. This was in the lovely prize I won from Caz back in May. The rose, once transferred, was die cut using a circle die and I then held the same die on the actual card front and paper pricked right round it - ha, making sure that I already knew where the sentiment would overlap the holes 'cos 'sho nuff' they didn't quite have the right spacing once I got to the joining up point. I then just stuck the circle with the rose on onto the card and it's spot-on even despite the
- the sentiment is another rub on from the same set, just punched using SU's 'Modern Label' punch
- the final bit, which you can't see, I backed the inside of the card front with white card to cover the pin pricks :)
This is the sketch over at LIM if you fancy having a go as well:
Another beautiful make for Less is More - I'm going to have to get my act together Di as I've been too busy to make one yet! xReplyDelete
Beautiful card, Di. I do admire the way you pierce round circles ... not sure I'd try that myself. I have a camera that lies too - a case of machine mastering (wo)man :) Hugs, Elizabeth xxReplyDelete
What a beautiful rose! I love the paper pierced circle! It frames the rose beautifully!ReplyDelete
Great take on the sketch Di-and how precise is your piercing? Awesome!ReplyDelete
Have a lovely day,
Fast or quick, your card is so beautifulReplyDelete

Lovely CAS card xReplyDelete
A lovely card for less is more Di. That is a beautiful rub-on. Kate xReplyDelete
This has a really nostalgic feel Di!ReplyDelete
Thanks so much
"Less is More"
This is a lovely CAS card and that pricking finishes it off nicely.ReplyDelete
Sorry to hear about the "blip". Hope all is resolved.
A beautiful, elegant CAS card Di. The rose is beautiful, and what a brilliant idea to pin prick around the circle. Just perfect.ReplyDelete
Hope the blip is sorted soon so life doesn't get too hectic. Love the piercing around the edge of the circle.ReplyDelete
This is a lovely card Di! The rose is so pretty...never would have guessed that it was a transfer!
Usually when I use transfers, they miraculously dry up the night before...Then they are a bi*** to rub off!!! lol
You have such an steady hand. The paper piercing is so professional...I thought it was a die feature!
Hope teachers training is sorted...I think you should eventually teach over here...Mr S is so much friendlier on his own turf!
I really need to start joining in with LIM again too, I loved it every week, but I seem to have been caught up with other stuff all summer. This is a great little card though, doesn't even look like rub ons.ReplyDelete
Can you shoot me the web address of the lady who did your watermark please? Or point me to you post that you name her in, about time I think to start marking my stuff, it's been appearing on Pinterest recently!
Ps. Hope the blip has blopped!!
Fab card Di and love piercing too huggles hun Sue xxReplyDelete
great CAS card. Ideal for the challenge.
I am about to post my effort for the playground this week.
Have a wonderful crafty evening.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
What a pretty card!
Boy, I know what it is to have your plans kind of go awry......
I seem to have missed this, thank goodness I just found it, beautiful card, love the rose and the sentiment, really useful card.ReplyDelete
Oh dear, really hope things are sorted.
Gorgeous rose on your card, I love clean and simple Di, yours is fab, well done :D xxReplyDelete
Ah, you know I love roses! (along with many other things! I love lots of stuff! LOL) This is such a pretty one, and I was amazed to read it was a rub-on. Wonderful way to use it with the circle die, and Ah, that piercing circle....oh such a pretty frame. Clever you to get it such that your sentiment was placed just perfectly. So very pretty.
