I said in Sunday's Snippets post that Parsnip had discovered the sweet little teddy bear die I bought recently. So it seemed only right to die cut a little army (six for now) and make a few cards to enclose with snippets prizes - just to stop him whining on:
I used:
- 4" x 6" white card blanks
- snippets of white Centura pearlescent card stock, die cut using Frantic Stamper's 'Teddy Bear' die
- little snippets of black card stock to die cut the little button eyes and nose - cute :) To adhere them I just popped a little bit of sellotape behind the die cut apertures left in the white bear's face and stuck his eyes and nose in place
- snippets of SU's 'Certainly Celery' card stock, die cut using Lil' Inker's 'Instant Camera' die
- on three of the cards I stuck Parsnip in place looking out of the Polaroid frame before backing the aperture with paper from Dovecraft's Back to Basics 'Bright Spark' paper pack
- on the other three cards I added the striped backing paper first and positioned 'Parsnip' to look a bit like he'd hopped up and was sitting on the frame with his legs outside, ready to make a bid for freedom
- then I stuck the almost completed frames onto the card blanks, leaving room for wording underneath
- using Memento 'Tuxedo Black' ink and a variety of stamps (plus the invaluable Misti) I then stamped the wording onto the Polaroid frames and the card itself. The sentiment sets I used are: Technique Tuesday's 'Stems', Stampendous ''Happy Messages' and Paper Smooches 'Sentiment Sampler'
Not satisfied with being the focus on these little gift notelets, Parsnip now wants a crash course in learning how to write!
Anyone want to adopt a little white bear? He's fairly well house trained, if a little bit excitable :)

Hi Di! what a sweet bear! I love how you showed him behind the frame and in front both! darling!!
ReplyDeleteI popped over from Theresa's blog (Inkyfingers1) to say Hello. I was so blessed to see you extend such a warm welcome to her! She deserves it - she's a peach of a girl! : )
I will have to play along with your snippets challenge especially being that I am challenging myself to use up My snippets!! : )

Oh Di these are absolutely adorable ! I love how he's peeking out, then sitting on the frame. Good tip about tape on the back, I'd have tried to glue, and then got it everywhere! I think teaching him to write could be asking for trouble! Xxx
ReplyDeleteThey are so sweet Di, I think I will pass on your offer of a new house guest at the moment!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards Di, so cute!

Lovely cards Di - it sounds like Parsnip is keeping you on your toes!

These cards are adorable as is that teddy die - more temptation as always when reading blogs!!
ReplyDeleteParsnip did well finding this Di, it's such a sweet card. No offer of adoptions though, that Elf at Christmas was more than enough for me.

So cute, great cards
ReplyDeleteHow cute is he and love both versions Di, really pretty cards! x
ReplyDeleteThe top card he looks like he is saying"Well, get on with it". On the second I just love the dangling legs. Both are so cute.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie and I don't mean just the bear...!
ReplyDeleteLia xx

So sweet and cute little bear! Two adorable cards with it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the offer to adopt a bear, but I have already so many cats and an elf :D
Aww - two cute Parsnip Bear cards here Di . . . brilliant how you got two different looks from the one die too! FAB.
ReplyDeleteNo - I have enough trouble with Parsnip in the Playground, I couldn't cope with adopting him!
Hugs, Sarn xxx
Love how the little bear looks like he's plotting an escape. Nothing to do with Parsnip obviously! Cara x
ReplyDeleteAw, he is an adorable little bear. I am sure he is on his best behaviour! Lynn x
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards Di and that is an adorable Parsnip die so no wonder he couldn't wait to play with it. Err as for the offer of adoption... sorry but my place is quite full enough with furry little 'orphans' that are equally excitable xx
ReplyDeleteWhat adorable cards Di. The little bear is such a cute die.
ReplyDeleteI think teaching Parsnip to write might not be such a good idea. Barbxx
Oh! I really like the one with the bear standing behind the frame. So much fun!
ReplyDeleteI love him perched on the frame, so very cute. Poor Parsnip, you would think he would be so pleased to have the cards and to see the bear cut out!
ReplyDeleteAdorable sweet bear cards

This is just the perfect card for your purpose, and NOW I know what Parsnip must look like. I'll volunteer to be his Mommy, (BUT I know you're not going to let him go! Nor would he want to leave!) Love the window effect and the pastel colors look grand with his sweet little white huggable self!!! (and the bathroom fix just goes from one more thing to one more thing, seemingly. Hope to go look at floor tile on Monday.) Glad you got your project all dusted & done! TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteAw such cute cards with that super cute bear die! I don't think Parsnip would want to leave you! xxx
ReplyDeleteI love this cute lil' bear....lovely cards......I would adopt Parsnip! The grandkids would love him!! lol..xx
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you found a die that is Parsnip to a Tee, Di!! It's so terrific and your cards are just darling! Using Parsnip on your prize inserts is perfect!! Really, you can't adopt him, that would be like me adopting Hammy. Impossible! You really should cut him some slack for a little while - who wouldn't get a bit big for their britches after seeing their likeness brought to life by a die?! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteI do love your little cards and these Parsnip ones are wonderful.
