'For you from me' cards

I always try to enclose a card with Snippets Playground prizes and just rustled up a couple of these:
I used:

- 4" x 4" square white card blank

- SU 'Certainly Celery' card stock

- vase and flower are from SU's 'Bright Blossoms' stamp set, stamped in 'Certainly Celery' and 'Melon Mambo'

- the sentiment is from SU's 'A Word for You' stamp set, stamped in 'Melon Mambo' - at a jaunty angle for a change :)

Confession time here - I've had a SU Stamp-a-ma-jig for ages, and use it regularly. Having seen Vicky's super little video the other day on her blog, I realised that putting the T-piece at the bottom of the clear sheet to use that as a guide and working a bit blind which was why sometimes I had 'wibble-wobble problems' when placing my stamp onto the card. I guess that either way would theoretically work but  it sure is better and much easier now I changed to how Vicky does it. Sometimes I really shouldn't be allowed out :(

To illustrate - I only went and got all ready for the dentist on Thursday afternoon and, at the very last moment before putting my coat on to leave home, I picked up the appointment card. Duh, I was a week early - it's next Thursday!!

  1. This is a darling little enclosure card, Di! I'll have to check out the SAJ video. I never did see an instruction video and I always use the upper left corner of the mat ... I'm curious now.

I remember asking my friend once if she would show how to use one after mine came in the mail. She looked at me really oddly and didn't say anything. Well, I understood why she did that once I figured it out. But how do you know, right? It's looks like a pretty confounding tool if you've never seen it used. Now I ask myself how in the world I stamped for ten years w/o one! I know the answer: crookedly!!

I hope you took Len or just yourself to lunch after getting all dressed up w/ nowhere to go! Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs, Darnell

  3. Such a pretty card to arrive with a lovely gift!

I own a stampamajig and never could figure out how to properly use it. I will try it for my sentiments which I always seems to stamp crooked!

  13. At least you noticed before you got to the dentist.... Does it make you feel better if I tell you I brought the wrong cat to the vet once?

Cute card! I have that set and have used it all of never before. How horrible is that?!

And yes, the Stamp a ma Jig and others like it do take a little practice and using them the right side up (which way is right depends on you). The results are worth it though.

  14. Beautiful card that a Snippets player will so enjoy! I love the one you included in my package. At least you didn't try to check in at the dentist's office, but I'd hate thinking about having to go for another week!
