Sunday Snippets - CAS Stickeroo

I rustled up a super-fast card for today and yet again forgot to take a photo of my snippets:

I used:

- a cream slightly textured Anita's card blank measuring 5" x 7", side opening

- then dug out a snippet of SU's 'Wisteria Wonder' card (one of my all-time favourites) onto which I'd already stuck a Penny Black Stickeroo from the 'Pen and Ink' sheet

- trimmed the card around the image to just slightly larger

- then glued a trimmed sentiment from the Creative Expressions Wordies Sentiment Sheets set called 'Birthday' onto one of the offcut snippet strips from the Wisteria Wonder card and trimmed the ends to size

- added snippets of card (two layers) to the back of the image panel and the sentiment

- finally - glued the image panel and the sentiment onto the card front - all done

I actually made a second card which is practically identical using a different image from the same sheet of Stickeroos and slightly different words in the sentiment but everything else is the same.

The results of Challenge #456 are over on the Snippets Blog for you. AND some news about the next couple of challenges too.

Dudley Pupdate: The week began badly with Dudley frantically searching high and low for smelly ole Honka Duck - his little legs were trotting hither and thither from room to room around the house at regular intervals. It was even worse when his 'triggers' occurred such as a delivery, the arrival of post or either of us going out. However, as the week wore on - very gingerly and slowly - Dudley decided that Honka Mark II needed some TLC - and took him under his wing paw. Bit by bit he's settled back down and is a contented little soul once more. Phew!

We're pretty delighted at the drop in temperature here as it's been unbearably hot at times when the air was so still and humid. Some rain would be very welcome right now! Not least for the farmers and those areas suffering from hosepipe bans.

Have a great week!

Love from myself and Dudley - as always

  1. This Stickeroo is so beautiful, a very elegant card with it!
Glad to hear that Dudley is loving Honka 2!
Here the weather was the same since rain arrived. Now the sun shine again and they say we will have a very hot next week.
Happy Sunday, love to you and Dudley!

  2. WOW this is a super card Di. I really LOVE that arty stickeroo. Lovely sentiment too. Always liked Wisteria Wonder.

So pleased that Dudley has settled down with a new Honka Duck pal.

    Happy Sunday! Xxx

  3. That’s a pretty card Di, love wisteria too. Glad Dudley is more settled, and glad it’s not so humid, don’t we always either have too much or too little rain! Xxx

  4. Great choice of colour to back your stickeroo and a lovely card. So pleased to hear that Dudley has finally adopted Honka Mark II - bless him, 😀

  5. What a gorgeous card Di - great use of the stickaroos!! So glad to hear Dudley has settle with Honka Mk II :)

  6. Your card is just beautiful and who doesn't enjoy wisteria?! I love the sentiment on this card and always long for wonderful days LOL Good thing Dudley has gotten comfy with his new toy. I think I'd be buying several to keep around so if one disappears again he won't be so frantic trying to find it again! Happy Sunday!

    1. We had the second Honka around the places Dudley favours for ages before the original one got so bad it had to go to the great duck pond in the sky. And, you reminded me that we have a further new one in his doggy set of drawers but I don't think it really would make much difference if we try the same thing. He's a very smart doggy - but also can be super-emotional.

  7. Stunning card Di, love the colour of the card too. Poor old Dudley, glad it's cooler here, too.

  8. I do like your Sticker Roos's Die you always make the nicest cards using them the colour and the floral arrangements are stunning s

  9. A beautiful way to make a quick card and we all need that sometimes. Three weeks is really too some of mine can take. We've got a bit of rain today and the plants are happy. x

  10. Love this pretty card, the flowers are a lovely delicate colour! Poor Dudley, I hope he gets used to his new playmate, bless him. I am also glad it's cooler - I don't like the heat - yesterday's rain was very welcome too. Take care, hugs xxx💖💖💖

  11. These PB Stickeroos always make great card toppers Di and this one featuring irises is really pretty. Glad that Dudley seems to be accepting his new duck toy, and can understand why you were keen to get rid of the old sounds as though he is fine now. x
