New Elzybells stamps

Well, not truly new designs but I found a place in the Netherlands who do have some brand new Elzybells image stamps for sale, which I think they've had since the days when Elzybells were still trading :) Sadly, no sentiments (which Elzybells did so well) but I still ordered half a dozen 'cos it would have been rude not to wouldn't it?

I whipped up a quick card using one of the stamps:
It's a bit like a patchwork quilt, with a lovely blank space in the centre just perfect for a sentiment. Although it's been coloured with bright colours, it would be great for a baby card in soft blues or pinks maybe - I was just eager for some time to play at colouring after writing the snippets roll call on Saturday.

I used:

- 4" x 4" square white card stock

- Elzybells 'Patchwork' stamp, stamped in Memento 'Tuxedo Black' and coloured with Pro Markers

- sentiment from the LOTV 'General Greetings - small' set stamped in Memento 'Tuxedo Black'

- Josy Rose red heart

This is another one layer card for St. Luke's Charity Card Challenge. That's two from me now, so I'm watching to see who else joins in :) Go on - I dare you!

  9. and another cracking one layer card it is too Di! I love that patchwork stamp. Elzybells was one of my faves too and I have lots of her stamps. I have noticed that 4 of her sets are available again through the new Penny Black T for Transparent release - including one of her great sentiment sets. Hopefully they will continue to release more both old and new!
Thanks again for playing along in our challenge at St Luke's this month.

  14. Great card, fabulous stamp and very well coloured, would have liked to have seen it with a white square in the middle instead of kraft colour. Not a kraft fan.
Sloppy bit has gone now, back to telling it like it is, lol.
Pretty disappointed that you didn't volunteer to do my ironing.

  16. Gorgeous card Di and not heard of Elzybells before now. Right up my street with patchwork too.
I just noticed your reference to cutting your fringe. I did that when I was 3! Not much of an issue you may think but I was Flower Girl at my Aunt and Uncle's wedding the next day!!!! To say my Mum was not amused was an understatement. Especially when she caught me later the same evening trying to pierce my ears with my Dad's tie pin!!! Hee Hee. I had to promise not to try it again if she took me to have them done the week after the wedding. Needless to say when I started school I was the only girl with pierced ears! Dare to be different is quite apt for me!!
