Rudolph Day - October 2013

It's here again, our chance to make a card each month for Rudolph Day over at Sarn's. It's been three weeks since I made a card, and I did so enjoy getting back into the craft room to play - if only for a short time. Why is it that, when you only have a short time to play, ideas seem to come thick and fast, then other times when you do have time to spare, the walls tend to end up being stared at a lot?
I used:

- 6" x 6" square white card blank, with the corners rounded

- image is from LOTV's 'Christmas Angels' art pad - pre-coloured and just tickled with some Glamour Dust - I adore this pad, every image is really lovely

- all patterned papers are also LOTV, from the 'Frosty Christmas' paper pad

- white card stock to back one of the papers and the image, after trimming to size and running a 'Blue Pearl' Pro Marker round the edge

- white spotted organza ribbon from my ribbon box

- star charm tied onto the ribbon bow with iridescent cord

- sentiment by Craftwork Cards, popped onto an oval which was punched using SU's large oval punch and then coloured with the 'Blue Pearl' Pro Marker

This card is also for Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Card Challenge for October, where it's always 'anything goes'.

And I'm also entering this into Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenge # 48 where the theme is to use a bow or bows.

Hope you remembered to change your clocks if you live in the UK :) Sigh, it's dark so early once we do that. And quelle surprise yesterday when I trotted out to the supermarket - Christmas goodies on display everywhere I looked!

That is so beautiful, lovely soft shades of blue and such a cute image too.
I reccommend note pads Di. I have one in the bedroom, one in my handbag, one in the lounge/dining room. When the ideas come I quickly note/sketch them so I can go back to them at a later date, well I have admitted that I am OCD lol! xx

Wow ... that image is so sweet and adding the glitter really takes it up a notch. Beautiful papers .. love the layout and design. Your sheer white ribbon and the star charm are perfect details.

We don't change our clocks for another week in Canada. But I agree, it will be dark so early in the day once that happens. The year is coming to a close! Loll xx

What an angelic card with that sweet ribbon and charm, Di!! Our clocks don't change here until November 3rd which seems really late this year. Funny how we are always shocked by how it seems to suddenly go from light one day to dark the next; you'd think we'd get used to it happening every autumn!! Hugs, Darnell

For a minute I thought you had a Promarker that I didn't but just checked and I've got that colour too. Nearly had a hot flush spending spree come over me!
This is so pretty especially as we both favour being pinky girlies. hugs Mrs A.

I love the way you hastily nipped into the craft room to check that all was well . . . and found time to make a Rudolph Day card too! Very pretty indeed. LOVE the extra little charm at the left.

A very pretty card, Di. The shades of blue are lovely ... and you remembered the ProMarker trick this time :) If the weather is as wet down your way as it is here, your tumbler dryer must be working on overtime! Welcome home :)) Hugs, Elizabeth xx

Brilliant card, love the subtle blues and the lovey layout, great papers.
Being such an angel myself I have a slight aversion to other angel images.
