Get well soon card for a chap

I struggle with 'cards for chaps' at the best of times and when I needed a 'get well' card for a friend's husband it was a double-struggle here! He's just had major surgery and the card is another one to be sent from our old school association - but what to do? I pondered over a very simple card just using a get well sentiment and then a little bit of an idea came to me - 'little' in the shape of this young man:
Yup, it's another Lily of the Valley 'never been  used' stamp - called Karate Kid.

I used:

- 6" x 6" square white card stock

- LOTV ' Karate Kid' stamp, coloured with Pro Markers (minimal colouring needed too so it was super-quick)

- orange card from the trusty Core'dinations stash

- papers from Bo Bunny's 'Barefoot and Bliss' collection, which has some really great papers for seaside and Summer cards

- computer printed sentiment

- Josy Rose nail heads

And that's my card for today - here's hoping the card does the trick!

  10. Love the card, fabulous brain wave for the sentiment. Love the papers ideal for a male card. I am pretty partial to LOTV images. Oh just thought is it today they have some new images out, must go and check.

  11. Cute card! When poking through my stash I see that I have a lot of stamps that could be used for men, but when pressed upon to actually make a card for a man, suddenly nothing comes to mind or seems to work. You got it covered here!

  13. Hi Di,

He reminds me of Karate Kid -- I think he'll do the trick just right.

Had company over the weekend so didn't get much crafting done until today! Laundry can wait!! I still have clean undies ;-)

    Hugs,

  17. You did a fantastic job...I have made it no secret I struggle with them so therefore I "dread" them. However, it's important to MAKE them!
