WOYWW 201- with a note from me Mum

After missing a few WOYWWs here's the note from me Mum:

'Dear Miss Julia and Co., my apologies for Diane having missed WOYWW playtime over recent weeks, her appearances have been sporadic to say the least. So, I've hidden the dusters (but can't find the yellow one with lace edging made by Annie and Jo as she refuses to be parted from it). Have also removed the plugs from the vacuum cleaners and hidden her mop and bucket. Yours sincerely, Diane's Mum.'

So, this was my desk late yesterday:
Not toooo messy I guess. Usual cup of coffee, remains of a card I'd just finished making, big basket of cards waiting for inserts (sigh), Pro Markers to be returned to their rightful home, snippets to be filed, and an embossing folder I'd been playing with. Oh, and some scraps of ribbon to remind me to buy more of the same or similar.

And this is a bad photo of my laptop screen as it's much more orange in real life but you can get the drift, it's my background on the laptop:
Sunset, taken by Len on the beach in Koh Samui, Thailand, looking across at offshore islands. It cheers me up no end during the dull days we're still having here in the UK - and also makes me yearn to return before too long.

Off you go, over to our lovely hostess Queen Julia's to see what everyone else is up to this week.

Happy WOYWW!

Di

  1. Hello there Di,

So glad to see you once again joining in WOYWW. The note from your mum is adorable! tee hee

Getting snow here (sigh). I love the photo that Len took in Thailand. It looks so beautiful. I wouldn't have thought of visiting there but I remember how fondly both of you talked about it while here.

    Happy WOYWW
    Hugs,

  3. I think your desk is too tidy. Have you and Julia been in spring cleaning mode? When will I catch the fever? Glad you are back. I'm hoping to get a snippet or two done this week. Your desktop photo is beautiful. Len great photo! Now, I think you need to take your sweetie on another holiday!

  4. Now then, young lady....did you forge your mum's signature?? I speak as a past master, you understand!! ;)
Everywhere is looking very tidy this morning...I think the Clean up Monitor has been doing the rounds! I thought I'd gone to the wrong desk when I saw Julia's earlier on!!!
Hope you are well and happy :)

  5. Morning Di, glad to see your mum has everything sorted so you can join in this week. Though it does look as though you've just taken that frilly duster over a pretty tidy desk :) Seems like everyone is on a tidy spree this week ... Julia's desk is tidy beyond recognition! I think inserts are the reason I prefer to stamp or otherwise decorate the inside of my cards. Have a good and happy WOYWW, hugs, Elizabeth x #41

  23. Too funny, Di! And too right! Life's too short to be messing with mop and bucket when you can be snooping around the world of WOYWW!!

Thanks for playing this week and thanks for sharing the outstanding photo Len took in Thailand! Sigh.
