Hi folks
Just to let you know things here ain't too grand on the vision front so commenting and crafting has had to take a back seat.
An old eye problem has flared up, which means blurred vision and pain in the affected eye, constant tears running down my cheek and basically I look like Len punched me in my left eye. Hey, what? Maybe he did?
In truth it's a virus from the same herpes simplex family which gives folk those cold sores - only sometimes it diverts down the nerve into the eye and causes ulcers on the cornea - and yes, it's very painful and just rotten luck.
Been to hospital, got medication which usually works and will be blogging ASAP. But am planning to take it easy for a few days if needs be. Be good and play nicely!

ReplyDeleteYou take care of that eye...Vision is everything. Blogging is a hobby, and so is the Playground. Let Parsnip do full duty. LOve your cute little graphic. Yes, no ironing comes in the category of resting your eye. Listen to nice music & relax. Big hugs coming your way too. Hope you feel better REAL soon.

ReplyDeleteOh, Di, I hope your eye heals quickly. I had a bad reaction to eye drops a few yeas ago that sounds a lot like what you're going through. It was awful! Definitely rest your eye and hopefully the medication will work quickly. Take care!

You take care of those eyes. They are more important than our blogs! I hope it clears up soon. I know how painful the cold sores are on lips as I was very prone to them and accompanying ulcers as a child, but I am sure one on your eye is a lot more painful. Lets hope it is all better for Christmas. Hugs. Kate x

ReplyDeleteNot at all fun! Cats get that too. It usually reduces their life expectancy so be glad you're not a cat! I mean after all, who wants to eat uncooked mouse guts?!
