Twas the night before Christmas, I'm stood by the tree,
and wondering what Santa brought just for me.
"Could it be card stock, ink pads or lace
or maybe some stamps" I said - with a smile on my face.
And that's when I heard him... "Hi Santa" I said.
He replied "You know, good girls should be in their bed".
"I know I should Santa and now I've been caught,
but I was just so excited to see what you brought".
"Well, let's take a look in this room where you work."
He shook his head quickly and left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim as he put it in gear -
"You've got enough cr*p, I'll see you next year ! "
Hope you all have a lovely Christmas folks!
Di

ReplyDeleteOh this is cute (and sadly too true! Methinks Santa will say exactly that to me) But that's ok, I've been my own Santa, cause I know just what I wanted! Big Hugs & Mewwy Christmas. I'm intrigued by the title of the post I saw under this one, so off I go to see what early goodies the Good Girl got! TFS

ReplyDeleteOh boy! I think this fable applies to all of us and it made me and DH in particular smile! I do know I have a couple of crafty presents from DH because I whined about needing two more sets of Sheena stamps and Aquatints! But I had me mum get me pj's and slippers so I know I wasn't too naughty!

ReplyDeleteI've just picked up the June copy of Quick Cards made easy, because there are the instructions for making a waterfall card in there that I wanted. Imagine my surprise when a familiar face was there on the letters page with her 'card in a box'! I hadn't discovered Pixie's Crafty Workshop back then.
Have a wonderful Christmas...... and whatever Santa says, you can't have too many crafty things. ;-). xx

Hello Di,
ReplyDeleteOh, how I needed a good laugh! I definitely came to the right place! Unfortunately I've caught a cold and have been out of sorts since yesterday. I'm hoping to be good enough to meet the family for bowling tomorrow.
Much love to you and Len,
Kay
I used my friend´s version of that poem as my Friday smile last week. I hope you still have some new crafting goodies to play with. Enjoy the rest of the holiday. Kate x
