Happy Snippets Sunday, I dived into a load of snippets for my offering this week:
I used:
- 5.75" x 5.75" white card blank, side opening
- a snippet of Tonic's 'Blue Cashmere' pearlised card, slightly trimmed to 5.5" x 5.5" then glued onto the card front
- a snippet of white card, trimmed down to 5.25" x 5.25", which I embossed with some snowflake dies - called 'Dotted Snowflake Impressions' by Craft Addiction UK.
- glued the white snowflake layer onto the blue layer
- then I used the ready die cut and framed Penny Black Masterpiece image and positioned that onto the card front - using a glue pen. Yay, I found another five ready framed vertical hexagonal PB Christmas Masterpieces at the same time - along with the sentiment dies I used. Obviously lost interest last Christmas!
- final touch was the sentiment, cut from small snippets of 'Blue Cashmere' card, double layered and glued in place on either side of the image. The die set is unused and unbranded, bought from Amazon ages ago!
- finished!
I'd like to enter the following Challenges:
Allsorts #862 HERE - under the current theme which is mood board inspired. I hope that my offering encapsulates some of the mood of the bottom right picture on the mood board especially!
Darnell's NBUS Challenge #92 - HERE - the sentiment and snowflake background dies are NBUS items
Dudley Pupdate: Our plans with Jenny changed this week so Dudley skipped his bath. In many ways it was as well he'd had a calm day as it was 5th November - ie. time for fireworks. Almost simultaneously, two fairly nearby houses set off boxes of fireworks at 6pm. For the first time ever Dudley practically flew into my arms in the craft room for comfort and then subsequently hid under my desk for an hour - shaking, bewildered and terrified. Normally. fireworks don't bother him at all.
Wry smile here, I really needed the loo but sat with legs crossed until he warily emerged after an hour, sought out Honka Duck and tucked himself away in another favourite hiding place.
Thankfully, when it was the massive local display at the Community Centre yesterday evening, Dudley was fine. I suspect it was the proximity that shocked him into doing his sprint - abandoning Honka as he did in his hour of need was serious stuff! Needless to say I'm all the more vehemently against fireworks, outside of public displays, than ever! Even silent ones would be a step in the right direction - but all the petitions under the sun are falling on deaf ears it seems. Hopefully drone displays will become more affordable - but perhaps once a pyromaniac, always a pyromaniac!? Or should that be once an idiot, always an idiot?
Sarn has opened up Challenge #545 in the Snippets Playground HERE . See you on the swings - we're into hot chocolate season now and Sarn is well into the mood for the Christmas countdown!! So help me - she'll have me baking sausage rolls next!
Love as always, Dudley and yours truly,
