Sunday Snippets - Owl let it snow card

Following on from my previous post, here's another one using some of the single sheet of paper from Stamperia's 'Owl House' paper pad:

I used:

- 5.5" x 4.25" white card blank, side opening

- piece of paper (snippet) showing the reverse side of a piece of Stamperia's 'The Owl's House' paper pack trimmed to 5.25" x 4", then glued to the card front

- a small image from the same paper pack - it's a snippet left over from making a previous card, from the reverse of another sheet of the scrumptious paper

- I then die cut a 'frame' using a snippet of white card measuring exactly 4" x 3" then cutting into it using the middle sized die from Craft Addiction's 'Fusion Frames - Rectangle'

- die cut a tiny bit from the little image, using the same die as for the frame so it would just pop into the aperture

- backed the 'frame' with a slightly smaller snippet of white card so that I could then glue the image itself safely in place as I wanted to raise the whole panel

- popped a Clarity Christmas sentiment onto the top right hand corner of the image

- final step, added the image panel to the card front using thin foam tape

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Allsorts Challenge #848 - HERE.  Under 'Anything Goes'

Darnell's NBUS Challenge #86 - HERE - the set of Craft Addiction 'Fusion Frames' were having a first outing.

Dudley Pupdate: Dudley loves to spend 'together time'  each morning, as we watch the news and have the first cuppa of the day. I think the nights could be long for him as we sleep. During 'together time' Dudley lies on our bed, being played with and generally fussed over. After a while he then stands up and trots off to find Honka Duck - it's all pretty predictable. Much like the news can be on a 'slow day for news' really!

However, this morning (Saturday), just as he was getting ready to hop down from the end of the bed he literally stopped dead in his tracks. Then turned round and, quick as a flash, rushed back up the bed to plant a nose bop kiss on my cheek, before turning and racing off! It was so deliberate and very moving, bless him. And yes, of course my eyes welled up!

I've published the results of Challenge #530 HERE

Do please come and play in Sarn's current challenge over in the Snippets Playground - just scroll down from the results post.

Love from myself and Dudley,

  8. Aw, now you made my eyes well up, Di! What a sweet picture you drew of your mornings. You can't have a bad day if you own a dog! (Somebody write that down!) And, oh my, your card design really frames that beautiful owl paper perfectly! These DSP designers make our work easier and we end up with gorgeous cards to send. Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS and use that DSP! Hugs, Darnell
