again - thanks for calling by! It's time for another snippets challenge
dedicated to sweet Ruby's Memory, in aid of the centre who originally
her, and this is our eighth one.
The prizes for this challenge have kindly been donated by two different Playmates! So there are two chances to win a prize as we'll be celebrating having donated £200 to the rescue centre once this challenge closes. Also the Playground toy box is overflowing with prizes here right now and I can't get the lid on properly! That should be a hint that we'll have a Grand Christmas/New Year Draw again this year ☺
From Linby we have Prize A:
Creative Expressions 'For you' edger die, Apple Blossom 'Flourish Clover' die and a set of Crafters Companion stamps called 'Craft Words'
And from a playmate who wishes to remain anonymous we have Prize B:
I'm afraid that I won't split or mix around the bundles. It might be that you already have something that's included in a bundle but please don't let that put you off playing. I'm sure that the donors will be just the same as me when I say feel free to pass anything onto a crafting friend - at your end.
Remember to always say if you're playing for the prize on offer - and this time please also say 'Prize A', 'Prize B' or 'Either'.As always, the Snippets Challenge will run for two weeks and the Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday 11th December. The gates will open again at midnight UK time on the same day - and the Grand Christmas Draw will begin!
It's a maximum of ONE entry, please say in a comment if you wish to play and be a possible winner of the prize. Please also link back to the Playground in your blog post to be eligible for the draw.
Dudley gave us a good few 'moments' this past week. On Thursday, he took a real dislike to the British Gas engineer who came to do the annual boiler service. In the end we had to 'gate' him in the craft room with me. To be honest, the guy was rather weird and never even asked if he could go upstairs to check the radiators - he just did it ... which set Dudley off again in protest! Only once the guy had gone did we realise what the issue had been. He was working in the garage where our boiler is housed and Dudley's store of food, treats and a little army of as yet unused toys are also housed in there! Once freed, he shot down into the garage to do a full inspection and audit!
Lovely prizes from Linby and the anonymous donor. I'd love to win either of the prizes please.ReplyDelete
I always enjoy reading about Dudley's antics, he's such a character. xx
I love hearing about Dudley's antics! Yes please for the prizeReplyDelete
Hi Di, I'm the first this time! Stunning! :D LOLReplyDelete
Yay for the money to the rescue centre, it's a wonderful notice!!
Thanks to Linby and the other playmate for the generous prizes, and also to you, they are fabulous items for any stash!!! Yes please for either!
You made me laugh with Dudley's story about the boiler service guy and Dudley's treasure room/the garage. Perhaps Dudley had the idea that the guy had tasted his treats or picked up one of his toys :D
Hugs to you and cuddles to him
I’d love to enter the draw for either please Di. That did make me smile……..the way he dashed down to inspect his stash! You tell such a great story, and I love to read them. Keep warm! XxxReplyDelete
Two generous prizes this time around and yet another amusing Dudley tale - hope he found nothing missing from his stash in the garage.ReplyDelete
Two lovely bundles of prizes, but I'm playing just for fun thanks.ReplyDelete
Dudley is so funny! He's such a character isn't he?! I bet he could tell if just ONE of his delicious dog biscuits had gone missing!
It's brass monkey weather, so I'm brewing plenty of hot chocolate up in the Playground Treehouse - all Playmates are welcome to come and have a mugful. Plenty of marshmallow sprinkles to go round!
Hugs, Sarn xxx
Hello, Di, you have some very generous playmates! Thank you to Linby and Anonymous for their generosity! I would like to play for Prize B, please. Congrats on the huge donation to the rescue centre in Ruby's memory - that makes me so happy! I love animals! I trust Dudley found everything in order when he inspected his food, treats, and unused toys! You can never be too careful with those Gas Engineers! Your Dudley stories do make me smile!ReplyDelete
Oh Dudley! Protecting his food and toys :)ReplyDelete
I will be playing for Prize A!
Love both prices. Really want to be in the draw.ReplyDelete
Such a funny story of Dudley. Understand that he want’s to protect his food and treats.
Such a sweet story about Dudley, Di! Of course he had to protect things - you humans just weren't understanding. lol I'm tossing my hat in for either of two lovely prizes. :-DReplyDelete
Oh poor Dudley! Fritz totally understands where he's coming from! Such a great idea to have Ruby's Challenge & so generous to have given the rescue group 200 pounds, Di! Generous playmates offering the lovely prize packages this time, but I'm just playing for fun.ReplyDelete
Here at last! would love to be in the draw for Prize A please. xxReplyDelete
Yes, ma'am. Prize B please. Poor Dudley. It's a good thing the audit was completed and everything was in check. Your gas person kinda took it for granted to walk upstairs without telling anyone. That could have resulted in disaster.ReplyDelete
I'm just playing for fun 😉.ReplyDelete
So pleased you are able to raise funds for the charity. Another lovely Dudley story.
I'll be in the playground soon Di and would love a chance to win either prize, please.ReplyDelete
Dudley sounds like he's a real guard dog!
Hello Do, I just love reading about Dudley's exploits - he's a wee darling. Lovely prizes on offer but I'm just playing for fun so count me out. Hugs, Elizabeth xReplyDelete
Lovely prizes from your lovely playmates ... I would like to play for prize B please. How sweet is Dudley ?? Looks like you defo don't need a big guard dog with him around :-)ReplyDelete
I'm glad Dudley's audit had good results!ReplyDelete
Yes please for the draw! Great prizes... I am playing for prize B.
How exciting to hear how much you've donated to the rescue center...my heart is smiling! I love that you have combined two of my favorite things, crafting and animals with the snippets challenge.ReplyDelete
Yes please to either one of these generous prizes!
Your story about Dudley has me laughing and saying, "awwwww" at the same time. I think Dudley needed to teach that boiler man some manners..and the mental picture of him rushing out to make sure all of his treasures were still there is too darn cute!
It's always a pleasure reading about Dudley!ReplyDelete
The prizes are great: thanks to the spenders and I like to play for B please.
Wonderful prizes Di, and I will say either would be most acceptable. Loving your Dudley tales :)ReplyDelete
Well, no wonder little Dudley was concerned!! Glad all was well in the end.ReplyDelete
Wow...what generous gifts from the Playmates! Yes please to EITHER of the packages. Thank you so much to Linby and the Anonymous one. You are both so kind to share!
It's wonderful that you thought of supporting the animal shelter that rescued dear Ruby. Congratulations on £200 donated!! Fantastic!
Take care and thanks for another lovely challenge.

I just love hearing about Dudley's antics! Such a protective little guy....he has to make sure everything is A-OK and in it's right place. My little Havanese decided that I needed protection from a skateboard leaning against a building once. Such mighty little personalities! I'd love to be in the draw for either of the wonderful prizes, thank you :)ReplyDelete
It's so fun reading about Dudley. He is such a character.ReplyDelete
Both prizes are amazing. So I would love to play for either.
Dudley is just adorable! I firmly believe that dogs have a sixth sense. Glad to hear that everything went well. I would love to win Prize B. Have a lovely day. xxReplyDelete
Hello DI. I would prefer prize 2, please count me in. CarolGReplyDelete
Yes, please to Prize B. As always, I so enjoy your Dudley stories.ReplyDelete
I love your little Dudley. Such a sweet story. And speaking of sweet... I would love to win either of the prizes offered. And love that a donation is being made to a shelter in honor of dear Ruby!ReplyDelete
Some lovely prizes but I'm just playing for fun this time.ReplyDelete
Hi Di...I just blogged after aeons and had to visit you and enter a special project. Visiting your site always gives me a good feeling...So good to hear about your Dudley .A yes from me to for the prize.Either is fine.ReplyDelete
Wow, fabulously generous prizes, thank you all and I will say yes to either! Had a good laugh at Dudley's watchful manner, sounds like my Mack, for some reason he hates the UPS man and lets him know it! One time I was driving along and Mack was sitting in the back seat, oh so grand, and a UPS truck pulled up to a stop sign and Mack jumped up, hung his head out the window and started barking and growling at him lol!! Have a wonderful holiday seasons and I wish the best for next year, health and happiness!!ReplyDelete
This Dudley story really made me smile, especially him doing his audit afterwards! Great prizes, but I'm entering just for fun this time.ReplyDelete
Sorry to be so late to the party but, here I am with my snippet entry. Lovely inspiration and prizes although I AM just playing FOR FUN this time around
Happy Saturday - hugs to the lovely Dudley too
Those are some fantastic prizes on offer, but I'm playing just for fun this time. Dogs have a keen sense and intuition when it comes to strangers, but I do think it's funny how he checked his inventory afterward to ensure it was all there! Protective instincts are always at work with a good doggie :) Have a great week ahead!ReplyDelete
It's always fun to hear the latest news about Dudley! It brings a smile. I love joining in your challenges and would love to be considered for Prize B if I were to be lucky. Stay safe and here's to a lovely Christmas and here's hoping 2022 is a good one for all. :) xReplyDelete
Wow, fab prizes from lovely Libby and the anon playmate too!ReplyDelete
I'm glad to hear Dudley is on full guardsman duties ... He's quite right that the gasman should have asked permission first and that he didn't pocket any of Dudley's treats LoL
Yes to either prize, and thank you to your generous playmates! I'm in a flurry of holiday preparations, and lagging behind, but loved hearing about Dudley's latest adventures with the gas engineer! Our Toby seems to be the opposite of a watch dog in his old age. He used to bark protectively at anyone who walked or drove by our house, but now he seems to think that everyone is a welcome visitor. We have to watch him and make sure he doesn't run out of the front door, given the chance, every time the gardeners are here or a package is delivered.ReplyDelete
I do hope that Dudley was satisfied that nothing had been moved or touched, once he did his audit, haha!
Hello and thank you for running the challenge, you are a star! And a fantastic donation total too! Have you tried sitting on the toy box lid? What great and generous prizes. Yes please to prize B, I do like the look of those dies. Hope all is well in the craft room. It's time we posted off all those Christmas cards and started all over again. lol. xxxReplyDelete
Ha ha - love the Dudley story!ReplyDelete
I'm a yes please for the prize draw (Prize A).
Two wonderful prizes as always, but I’m just playing for fun.
Oh Dudley… TFS his story. 💕
It's heartwarming to see the generosity of crafters! What wonderful prizes from Lynn and from the mystery donor. I'm not playing for prizes this time but loving seeing how many people have joined in at such a busy time of the year :) I enjoyed the story about Dudley and the Gas Engineer who, say what you like, could definitely have walked away with all the treats and toys!! Hugs, Vicky xxReplyDelete
Amazing prizes from Linby and the anonymous donor, wow. Crafty community is really something special. I'd love to win either of the prizes please.ReplyDelete
I always like to read about Dudley, he is super cute.
have a nice weekend.
It’s been so much fun playing along and hearing about the adventures of Dudley. Either prize would be fantastic. Thank you!ReplyDelete
