Pixie's Snippets Playground - Weeks 313 & 314 - and Prize A

Hi there and a warm welcome to the Christmas Snippets Playground. Little Parsnip is out of disgrace and happily ensconced behind the bike shed warming up a few sausage rolls as well as handing out mince pies, cookies, egg nog and mulled wine - the same as last year! Do please help yourself - and do please also let me know if you notice him having a secret swig or two!

This is my snippets card for today - it's Len's Christmas card so I hope he doesn't take a quick peek here before Christmas morning:

I wrote out all the details of making this card and then 'poof' - the blog post disappeared! With no time left to spend rewriting it all I decided that the Z fold card probably speaks for itself anyhow and there are great tutorials to be found on line. In fact, I may do this for the whole giveaway to save time, we'll see how things go once the general furore of Christmas Day itself has been and gone. Do feel free to ask about anything though - and of course the main stamped image is also the same as the stamp on offer today - coloured using Pro markers and then tickled with clear Wink of Stella here and there. The snippets are LOTV Christmas paper and also some red satin mirri card.

So, here we have Prize A of the Christmas/New Year annual giveaway:

On offer for the next two weeks is a Penny Black wood mounted stamp called 'chill day'. I've had mine for about a year (unused) and found one on line the other day when I was swiftly making this card. So it's winging its way here from the USA right now!

As in recent years, this is what's going to be going on with the Snippets Playground over the Christmas and New Year (aka Holidays) festivities.

As usual, the Playground Mr Linky which is below will run for two weeks and closing time will be 11am on Saturday 6th January 2018 and this post you are looking at right now is where to add any entries - with a maximum of one entry - over the fortnight. Loads of dithering here once again about whether to allow more entries but I want to keep things as level as possible plus I think you'll be busy enough with friends and family. One entry means you're in the draw - and the more prizes you say you'd like to win in the comments in each 'additional prize' post does increase your winning chances of course. You have two weeks to play (if you want to of course!) as no doubt the Christmas and New Year festivities themselves will be busy for you. Some of you will be busier than others I know and, for those of you who do find some quiet time to craft, it's a chance for you to play along for some rather nice prizes too. It also means I can clear the Playground toy box out of Christmas themed prizes.

So that I don't swamp and confuse you with a load of prizes to choose from in this post, I'll be posting at intervals (about every other day) over the coming couple of weeks like I did last year and adding more prizes of varying sizes into the pot as we progress through the holiday.

If you see a prize you'd like to be in the 'pot' for then please leave a 'Yes please' (or similar) comment in the same post where I show you the prize. So for today's prize, leave a comment below. For me, that's going to be a lot less confusing than me having lots of little lists here and there - especially as there are so many prizes coming up!  It will mean that if you would like to be in with a chance of every prize, then you need to comment on each one as it comes up - and please don't leave it right until the end and nip through all the prize posts adding 'Yes please' to each in one fell swoop. Remember, they will show up serially on my dashboard if you do that so I will notice and wouldn't feel that it's in the true spirit of the Playground. So, if you want to play then do try to pop in over the festivities plus the first week in January to see what's on offer :)

Also, just saying here on this post 'count me in for all prizes that are offered' doesn't count I'm afraid and will mean you don't go into the draw at all - other people are taking the time and trouble to check out the individual posts and prizes and leave comments so it wouldn't be fair to them. Again, this worked fine last year.

As I already said, there will only be the one Mr Linky for all entries - which is at the end of this post of course. I'll remind you where to go to link each time I post a new prize on the blog. Also, I'll run the prize draw using this Mr Linky as a basis for the random number generator and will then look at the relevant post to find out who said yes to the particular prize I'm running the random generator for.

I hope I've explained how the coming two weeks will work in the Playground? Please just say if it's left you confused.

The Snippets Challenge will run for two weeks and the Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday 6th January 2018. There will be a new Mr Linky on Sunday 7st January 2018. The picks and also the results of the multiple raffle/prize draw will appear one week later on Sunday 14th January.

Maximum of one entry and please say in a comment if you wish to play and be a possible winner of the prize. Remember, there's the prize today and others will appear over the next two weeks so keep your eyes peeled.

Do say in this post if you want today's prize. And please also remember to link back to the Playground in your blog post to be eligible for the draw.

Now, this is important girls, you can leap in throughout the whole giveaway and say 'yes please' to as many prizes as you like .... even if you haven't already made and entered your snippets make into Mr Linky at that point in time.

Your 'yes please' will certainly be in the pot when it comes to the grand draw, so long as you've entered into Mr Linky by then. At the end of this I'll be using today's Mr Linky as the focus for the random choices so please feel free to squeal with delight at as many prizes as you wish and say some 'yes pleases' on the way through the festive season - just remember to add just one snippets make into Mr Linky below to be in with a chance.

Please let me know if you have any problems linking, it's easy for me to sort out so don't struggle on alone :)

Merry Christmas from the little white peril and yours truly

I'll say an advance "yes please" in the hope that I actually get the chance to make a card - all the craft stuff is cleared away as I usually use the dining room table and my crazy family except to get FOOD served up on it over Christmas! However the temporary relocation means that my snippets basket is staring me right in the face as I sit at the computer, so I'm hoping it will provide me with all kinds of inspiration

Oh, how annoying that you are losing blog posts after spending all that time describing the process, but you are right that this Z fold card speaks for itself. And what it is saying is WOW, this is extra special and utterly adorable!!! That little hedgie, running off without his pants and jacket couldn't be cuter..although he will probably be a bit cold on Christmas Eve! Yes please to this sweet stamp and have a very merry Christmas Di!

No entry as of yet, but Di that stamp is a sweetie, so please put me in the draw.
Christmas blessings to you and yours

A great card fold and as for the stamp - fabulous - so may I say a 'yes please'. Shame you lost the post describing how it was made but the picture is self explanatory and as you say there is always YouTube. Your so generous Christmas opportunities for goodies are really well explained. Pleased that Parsnip is back in the playground, lesson learned I hope! My card will be popped into Linky shortly - hope you both have a wonderful Christmas.

Well, what do you know! I had used some snippets on my card and remembered your sweet message on my blog from earlier this year about DH's health problems (he's doing fine right now!), so I decided to pop over for a look and find you're throwing a mega-party. It's a good thing I brought cupcakes and sprinkles.
And 'yes please', I'd love to win this cute PB stamp.
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

Hi there! I can't find an email address to write to you directly so just hope you hop back and see this. The current big prize giveaway is just for people who've already been playing during this past year. If you email me (my address is on the sidebar of this blog), I can come up with some ideas about you linking a card - Split Coast Stampers, FlickR or even your own blog!). Do join in once this is over and we swing into 2018 - the challenge is every two weeks (with a prize) and there are some lovely folk joining in as well as a load of ideas from their makes. They're a very sweet and clever bunch!

I would love to win this prize please and if I am reading correctly I have to comment on posts with the other lovely goodies I would like to have a chance to win too. Suffering from severe brain fog because of the fibro right now so I have to read things twice lol! Have a lovely day and wonderful New Year Karen xx

What a wonderful card for your hubs using that adorable PB hedgie. Super creative design and it turned out just as cute as can be! Yes, please, to putting my name in the hat for this sweet stamp!!

I regret that I might be one of those wretches that is not abiding by the "spirit of the playground" rules and will end up stacking comments. I just now came to visit to link up my snippets gift bag and saw all these wonderful giveaways with the deadline just a few days away. I have been so swamped with the aftermath of the holidays and trying to rest that I completely forgot abt any giveaways you might be having! My bad! It wasn't intentional, but I will understand if you must disqualify me for posting a bunch of consecutive comments. (This is assuming my flaky internet connection will even let me comment!!! Eeek. It took over a dozen tries to get this page to load for me!)

Thank you, Di, for all the fun challenges throughout the year. This is such a delightful little community to be a part of. I appreciate all the hard work you put into making things so much fun for us. Thank you for all these generous giveaways!! You are a peach!
