It's a pyramage blush pink Dufex Christmas Rose which I had in my box of Christmas toppers, that's what it said on the sheet although it has an air of apple blossom about it to me :(
We actually have some pinky Christmas roses in the garden here and the centre piece of the image is fine, it's the branches that bug me a bit.
I used:
- A6 ready embossed silver card stock (I suspect this is so old it came from Lakeland - there are also a load of gold ones lurking in a box I see)
- Dufex Pyramage topper, supposedly a pink Christmas Rose/Hellebore
- snippet of pink ribbon
- sentiment from my goodies store
Quick and easy - just as well 'cos I then had to run round a lot of post boxes in North Hampshire posting 600 newsletters, as casually as possible :)
This won't surprise you, no Friday Feast today - time hasn't been exactly on my side and no way was I going to experiment last weekend with new recipes. It was as much as I could do to cook tried and tested meals when the girls were here. Unless you'd like my recipe for beans on toast?

gorgeous card, Di! I hope you enjoy a more relaxing week next week x
ReplyDeleteYour one busy bee this week Di, l hope your weekend will be more restful.
ReplyDeleteLovely card, the pink ribbon highlights the roses beautifully.
Happy Friday xx
Hi Goldie,
ReplyDeleteI can just imagine you running round the streets posting letters in your sparkly leotard....bet it will be on the news later :-)
Hugs,

Lovely pink card Di, very sparkly. Now your recipe for beans on toast could very well be different from mine, there may be a new twist like adding worcestershire sauce to the beans for an extra kick, or baby hotdog sausages or even cheese. See there are many variations on a simple classic lol. Hugs, Amanda x
ReplyDeleteThis is a very pretty card, but I must admit I looked at it and thought apple blossom on a Christmas card; that's different. Then I read what you had put! I think I would swap the sentiment for Happy Birthday, but on the other hand, what's wrong with 'different'? At least it will stand out, hanging in a row of snowflakes and robins.
ReplyDeleteHope you catch up with yourself soon.

I love it whether it's roses or apple blossom, it's a pretty card and another Christmas one done! Thanks for joining in my CHNC challenge - hope to see you again soon. x
ReplyDeleteIt's absolutely beautiful Di - whatever those flowers are! - and I love the pink and silver together. Does your beans on toast recipe start, like mine, with: hunt about for an hour or so for the tin opener...?! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteThis is really pretty. Thanks for sharing with us at CHNC challenge this week

P.S. Did you see any gold postboxes to send your letters in?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. Love the silver and pink together, and the ribbon is a beautiful touch. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Di and so elegantly done love the centre image and the ribbon so beautiful, xx
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty card. Would never have guessed that you didn't use an embossing folder on the background. Very clever to use those colors for a Christmas card. Very effective. TFS
ReplyDeleteIt's a very pretty card and something different, makes a nice change. I'd say they look an awful lot like apple blossoms too but they are beautiful so why not?
ReplyDeleteI haven't had beans on toast in eons and I'm now feeling deprived!
Hugs, Elizabeth xx
