Christmas card - include a building

This was the latest Christmas challenge set by Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge - and I did think of using one of the LOTV 'birdhouse stamps' I have here (which Hazel kindly said would be fun when I asked) - but then I spotted a (cough, recently bought) pre-loved SU stamp on the desk and this is the result:
I used:

- 7" x 5" cream card stock

- image stamped onto cream card in Memento 'Sepia', from SU's 'Silent Night' set. Then covered in double sided sticky and die cut before I sprinkled iridescent glittery stuff from Art of Craft over it - kinda sparkly craft room here now 'cos I sneezed at the wrong moment:)

- backing card in 'chocolate chip' brown from SU's 'Neutrals' collection - love this set

- patterned backing card from a Dovecraft 'Let It Snow' pack - grin, it has very faint wording on it saying 'Peace on Earth' and I almost did 'a Victoria' and stuck it upside down :)

- organza dark edged chocolate coloured ribbon from the ribbon box

Whilst at it, I made two the same - well, it is August ya know plus Sarn's  Rudolph Day is only a couple of days away - snigger, I've already made my first entry for that one - and I made two of those as well :)  See the halo shining?

    I would have loved to have seen the bird house, but this building is fab - love the glittering - pretty and elegant card - and good idea to make two and also to get ahead for Rudolph Day (no wonder your halo is shining) - thanks, Di, for joining in my CHNC challenge 86 - hope to see you again soon. x

    Gorgeous card - love the glittery treatment of the stamped topper and that brown ribbon is perfect.

    I'm way behind with everything so if I get one done at all for either challenge it will be nothing short of a miracle ... but I'm a W O M A N so miracles are just part of the remit :))

    Nope, don't do ironing since retiring!! But I DO love this card. I have to try the technique you describe here with the glitter. I'm going to guess that your Momento sepia ink is what I know as ?sand?. This is a marvelous card. Thanks for sharing, and good luck with the ironing. (we either go wrinkled or ...:-) -----)

    I know we are friends but ironing? That really does push our friendship to the limits Di! :-)

    Oh now you're getting sneaky, dropping hints about Rudolph Day and already having cards made in anticipation of it!! This is a nice one though, looks like a lovely snowy scene with that glitter on it, and I do like a bit of brown too.

    Well, off to her house today to babysit and make a wedding card...what fun! My daughter went back to work full time and now I go 2 times a week...more funny things kids say for the blog!!!

    This is stunning Di, the image is gorgeous and how lovely does your Glitter spray look almost like snow snowflakes and the backing paper and ribbon are stunning too! l can see why the two images resemble one an other both are gorgeous don't your think?! xx

    I love the sepia look Di, it looks really good on your card. Also think the glitter is brilliant, just like a snow blizzard - like this more than microbeads.

    I would love to help with your ironing but I have to have an anaesthetic before I can do any!!! lol. Must check out Sarn's Rudolph Day!

    The reason your halo is shining is that you've used all this glitter!! Aren't you the organised one?! This is lovely, what a cracking stamp. Nope, not doing your ironing as I'm successfully putting off my own at the moment.

    I love that sparkly effect. I haven't done it for ages. Stickles seem an easier way to add a bit of sparkle, but sometimes the full on glitter effect is much better.
