And talking of parcels - there's been a flurry of tissue paper etc. here and it's still in progress:
The results of the Pro Marker Ultra-Fine Nibs candy draw, a few posts further down, have meant a bit of wrapping, labelling and posting. Only half of the winners have responded and I posted all their nibs off yesterday. A lot of the packs of nibs came in just little poly bags without any insert in the bag - seemed a bit odd to me, but nibs is nibs! So, I've tried to pretty them up a bit by wrapping in tissue paper and adding a butterfly with a sparkly gem on - and the stuff on my desk is how I left it yesterday before racing out to the post office. If you entered the draw, please check the results :))
You can also see a couple of new additions to my crafty stuff, ready to play with ASAP:
The 'Diva' stamp is one I've liked for ages - and I found it whilst ordering more nibs last week from Joanna Sheen's online shop......it just happened to fall into my basket (sheesh, how did THAT happen?!). I have plans for this stamp! And the other thing I can't wait to try are the Bazzill Bling flowers and flourishes templates. I know, I'm such a wuss I can't draw even a swirl (and anyhows, how would I rub the pencil lines out) so I've been yearning for a template or two.
OK, enough rambling already - to join in the fun and frolics do go to Julia's here to see what everyone else is up to. It's sure to be a lot more inspiring than a load of tissue paper for sure! Happy WOYWW.
Great picture of your desk Di . . . your coffee in the Gorjuss mug looks a bit lumpy though! LOL!ReplyDelete
Hugs, Sarn x
Chortling here Sarn! I can't bring myself to use that mug in case I break it! So I keep a small tape runner and some emergency chocs in there! Tee, hee!! Hugs, Di xxReplyDelete
Wahoooooo I've just had a visit from my postman and had a little parcel from you. Thanks so much. I need to shop for my pro markers now....think we will be trying them out on fabrics :-) thanks for the tip.ReplyDelete
What a tidy desk Di !!! (Jules looks at hers and shakes her head slowly from side to side!!!).ReplyDelete
I feel a tidy up coming on once two cards are finished!!
Looking forward to seeing your swirly creations!!
Have a good day.
Love Jules xx
Such a clean desk Di how do you do it, Think i need to have a huge clean up! Looking forward to getting my candy and giving them a whirl. Happy Wednesday xReplyDelete
Hello Di, yippee! Received my nibs this morning - howzat for the postie being quick - love the little butterfly on green tissue ... my favourite colour, did you know?? Love your tidy desk and I really like the look of those templates - like you can't freehand draw so use templates often. I take it that was something else that fell into your Joanna Sheen basket :) Happy crafting, Elizabeth x #59ReplyDelete
my posty has just been too - i think it's a stash day...looks very tempting...thanks for the peek today! Sarah (Sasa at 1)ReplyDelete
Hello Di, just got your comments - thanks. Re. the glass cutting mat - mine is just one of those cheap supermarket finds, intended for kitchen use I think. It's a good size but has no markings on it - they must be useful. But it is great for inking with distress inks and I use it for cutting on because the blade just glides along the glass, making the job really easy, doesn't scratch it and certainly doesn't cut into it as happens on my green cutting mats. Hope this little review helps you make up your mind. Elizabeth xReplyDelete
Thanks so much Elizabeth! eed to save a few pennies first but good to get a first hand experience review. The template came from Dies to Die for - I was naughty and had a wee shop there too! Ooops! Di xxReplyDelete
How sweet of you to "pretty up" the packages for the winners! Thanks for sharing your desk, and happy WOYWW!ReplyDelete
You're so sweet makin all those nibs pretty! So like you to do that. About the skating thing across the tile floor? I've done that and it wasn't pretty at all in fact it hurts. Pulled muscles that I didn't know I had - OUCH Smart idea about having that towel there. Can't wait to see your new stamp, she looks awesome!ReplyDelete
So funny - no sooner has I totally soaked the floors and you guessed, Mr Postie with a parcel! He did laugh when I shuffled to the door on a towel :) I too learned my lesson the hard way! Di xReplyDelete
How do you keep your work space so clean?! I can never decide on embellishments for a card so I move on to another, that results in all sorts of little ‘maybes’ left on my work space. I do the towel trick too. Funny how we all learn the hard way.ReplyDelete
In Germany they have sort of mop things that you put on over your slippers to shuffle round and dry the floor - I kid you not :)ReplyDelete
Tee, hee Bernie - the tiday desk, I cheated! You couldn't see our bed yesterday when I was wrapping things up - everything was dumped on there! I think Len might take up crafting at this rate :))
I was thinking the same - so sweet of you to pretty up your parcels! Hope you're having a wonderful WOYWW... and what a neat and clean desk you have!ReplyDelete
Hi Di, l'm sure the post lady holds back my letters before l went to the cimema no post arrived but once l got home l got my package from you Di, l'm so excited and can't wait to put them to use thank you so much:) Sandra HReplyDelete
You look well organised with your tidy desk Di:) Sandra HReplyDelete
Those little butterflies are sweet, aren't they - I'm sure you'll use those for loads of projects!! xxReplyDelete
I have a ton of the butterflies, punched when I did some for a friend - always useful.... flutterbies are good to have on hand - so long as you keep the lid of the box tightly closed else they all fly way - which I guess is the point of them :)Di xReplyDelete
Di, I am pleased to say my postman isn't a closet crafter and my delish package was through my door when i got home, Thanks xReplyDelete
Your desk looks really organised. And what a great stamp you've bought. Hope to see it back on one of your projects soon. Thanks for visiting my blog.ReplyDelete
thta's a very posh looking desk, but full of fun stuff, I keep reading about these nibs, must investigate themReplyDelete
Loved the cute butterfly on my nibs - thanks Di!!! I've used a few on something really special I'm working on, it's taking longer than I thought, but will show you all when it's done on my blog. I had plans for flourishes for you, and now you've beaten me to it! Oh well, there's loads more I can pick from! Thanks again!ReplyDelete
Hi there, Thanks for sharing your desk this week! I'm dashing around this week like the white rabbit; places to go and things to see! Hope you have a lovely week.ReplyDelete

I will email my addy if you are sure you want to send it to the states! Its the thought that counts you know! I have been so bummed out about the birds this past week I haven't done anything I didn't have to do! Thanks for your kind words on my blog. VickieReplyDelete
