Less is More - Week 211 - Love

This week's challenge is 'one layer' over at Less is More, where the theme is 'Love'. And this is my entry:
I used:

- A6 white card blank, tent style

- Penny Black 'hearts away' stamp, stamped using Memento 'Tuxedo Black ink pad and just the heart shaped balloons coloured with a red Whispers marker

- the sentiment is from a much loved Hero Arts set called 'Live Life', stamped using Memento 'Tuxedo Black' and then just a little bit of red Whispers marker on the word 'Love' - it stamps leaving the word white but it seemed too stark in real life to me, even though it looks quite dark in the photo, needless to say :(

- for the final touch, I rounded two of the corners using the Fiskars Corner Rounder scissors

My original intention was to cover the balloons with red glitter - but I quite like the simplicity of the image as it ended up - so left it well alone :)

  6. What a cute little hedgehog! Beautiful card. I always seems seem to shy away from one layer cards - there's no way of covering up my mistakes! LOL! Perhaps I need to give it a go. xx

  7. Oh YES - I totally agree! This card is just PERFECT like it is . . . it's good to walk away sometimes isn't it! I see the corner rounding scissors begged you to use them again as they were left out on the desk!

  18. Firemen!. Fire MEN! I thought Sarn said Fire Eaters. What shall I do with the barrel of paraffin then? And why is Sally beating a hedgehog?
I thought I was getting better too!!

p.s. If anyone rings from the Circus I'm not in.

    Love your card Miss.

  21. I quite agree Di with the absence of glitter - less is definitely more! (although I would have probably chucked a load of glitter on mine and ruined it!! LOL!!)

Apologies for my absence from the playground as I've been on holiday - my note is definitely signed by my mum and not me ;-)
