Coffee is my caffeine 'fix' of choice, strong and black.
A first outing for a Stampin' Up set here, so I made two cards very much the same apart from the wording:
So funny, I stamped the coffee cup and second sentiment three times before peering closely at the stamp itself and realising it's actually meant to look smudged! Duh :(
I used:
- 5.75" x 5.75" square cream card blanks
- plain rusty brown card stock, topped with brown corrugated card stock (to emulate coffee cup holders!)
- stamps are from SU's 'Perfect Blend' set, the cup stamped using Versafine 'Vintage Sepia' and the words using SU's 'Real Red'. Then the cup was just fussy cut and popped onto the card using thin sticky pads
- red and cream gingham ribbon from my ribbon box

Two wonderful card, Di. I think they are both great but just love the second Perfect for a girlfriend...perhaps for a thank you card with a gift card tucked inside.
ReplyDeleteHello Di,
ReplyDeleteNice cards (of course). I love the SU stamp sets, although I haven't bought any in a while.
I like the phrase "fussy cut."
Hugs,
Kay
Fab coffee card Di, looks super to give to another buddy while having a coffee break...The Journey is the Start
ReplyDeleteHad to smile at your striving for perfection using a stamp which is meant to look 'smudgy' - nice card for any occasion. Going back to a previous post - curiosity got the better of me and I just had to try a loom band bracelet!!
ReplyDeleteCoffee & friends are most definitely the perfect blend! Love both of these cards Di. Great colourscheme.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sarn xx
Brilliant card & sentiment Di !!
ReplyDeleteBwahahahaahaa! Great cards there. Discovered a new one I love at Costafortunecoffee yesterday. It is a cold one...Sticky Toffee! I even licked the cup! Well you-know-who said it had to be done!

Two great cards Di, even for me, a confirmed tea jenny! The first sentiment is oh so true of an awful lot of folk I know :) And I have done the same with similarly distressed effect stamps!!! Hugs, Elizabeth xx
ReplyDeleteAAAH! Coffeeeeee, I miss my coffeeee LOL These are really great cards Di, perfect for pals except moi!! Can't drink it anymore, no fair but it's my favourite!!!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about smudged stamps, I often have to check it's not me that's smudged them !!!
Have a great week :D Gay x
Fabulous cards Di x
ReplyDeleteI could really go for a large skinny latte with two teaspoons of brown sugar, yum, yum, yum! Gorgeous cards Missy Pixie! Have entered my final card for this week Karen xx
ReplyDeleteThis set's been on my list for quite a while and keeps getting bumped! You've shown me that I need to quit bumping it!
ReplyDeleteLove these! The corrugated paper & gingham ribbon are so perfect together!
ReplyDeleteThis is super! I have not broken down and bought this set, YET!
ReplyDeleteFun cards, and I chortled over the smudgy stamp comment, having done the exact same thing recently!

I think it is meant to look smudged because you are all hopped up on caffeine! Great cards and a fun stamp set. I made a project to make you go squee! with this stamp set. It is a mini coffee cup with a mini lid, done up all purty with chocolate covered espresso beans in it. Of course now I want mini coffee cups with lids to play with!
