Oh ye of little faith..............

.......I did laugh at the thought I'd been taking photos of postcards, so to prove I'm really where I say I am:
Ready to hit the open road this morning, am amazed at how tiny those covered wagons are and full of horror admiration for the early pioneers :) Where did they store all their crafting goodies for example. I think Len's camera time is still set to UK time though.

Boy, it's hot - but I'll soldier on, in the interests of the fact that I just signed up to Michaels and Hobby Lobby for money off coupons, thanks for the tipoff ScrappyMo!! Both are within easy reach of where we're staying, whoop, whoop! Alex, the lovely receptionist here, has marked them on a local map for me :)

Plus, and it's a really big plus, tomorrow we're meeting Kay. I have my WOYWW badge with me but have a sneaky feeling that 'the Englishman/woman abroad' will stick out like a sore thumb anyhow!

  1. I wasn't filled with envy at the thought of you enjoying some sun and heat in prairie country, not until I read this ... coupons for Michaels and Hobby Lobby and meeting Kay - I want to be there ... now having huge tantrum and stamping of feet!!! Have a great time and be sure to show us all the goodies from the craft emporiums when you get back ... I'm assuming you went out with an empty case :) Elizabeth xx

  2. What a great place to go for a holiday. You have a great time out there. Don't get too carried away in those craft emporiums or you'll be doing what I had to, and packing up a courier parcel because I couldn't get it all in the case! have fun. Kate x

  3. Definitely gotta check at Mike's & H/L, and if you see an AC Moore, you gotta go there too! They have online coupons--Mike's & ACM will accept each other's. Oh have great fun! Big Hug to Kay also, I'm so thrilled you ladies are gonna meet up. Oh yes, don't think the covered wagon ladies crafted? unless 'twas to quilt, crochet, etc? Glad I wasn't a pioneer!!! Hugs. And TFS your trip with us.

  4. I forgot to tell you about JoAnne's. They also have an email newletter with coupons. They also honour any competitors coupons (like Michaels etc)
I think they have nicer paper than Michaels. I have heard that you can also stack their coupons...like stack a JoAnn's newsflyer coupon and a Michael's coupon. Ask the cashier to explain how. I think you can even stack 2 different types of Jonn's coupons.
    Have lots of fun shopping!

You look great Di but was hoping to see you in more traditional attire, like feathers in your hair etc.

Have a lovely meet up with Kay, it all sounds very exciting :)

  16. PHOTO SHOPPED!

Okay, great photo. I hope you are having a great time. Hey, didn't Kay warn you that it would be a tad bit warm?

I'm scouting for a Michael's coupon myself, need a pair of craft tweezers and whatever else happens to jump into my basket. You know how that goes. Happy shopping and happy sight seeing!

  17. Well it is a good job you have your pink friend with you(not Len) or you would have missed out on all these hint and tips and money saving vouchers. Bet you'll now be dumping your clothes to make more room in your cases.
OK Checked it out and it does look like you, maybe I belive you now.

  20. You make anything fun, Di! Boy am I with you on life in the covered wagons. They look so HUGE on the TV westerns (still horrifying, mind you!). So it's interesting to see your "living" postcard of one! Have fun and stay cool!
