Gingerbread house

The current challenge over at Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge #174 is 'Festive food and/or drink'. I do have some House Mouse 'foodie' stamps, including their fabulous gingerbread house, but they take me an age to colour so I opted for a less intricate image to reduce the time spent bent over the desk colouring in:
I used:

- 5" x 5" square white card blank

- the image is called 'Sweet gingerbread house' by Digi Stamp Boutique. Coloured with Pro Markers then Wink of Stella added to the 'snow' and Glossy Accents on the window panes

- plain SU 'Wisteria Wonder' card stock for the matting

- snippets of SU's 'Bashful Blue' die cut using Cheery Lyn's 'French Pastry' die

-  lace from my little stock

- pink and white spotty paper from Wild Rose Studio's 'Wintry Christmas' paper pack

- sentiment is from a set by Personal Impressions called 'Everyday Words Happy Birthday', stamped with 'Pearlescent Orchid' Brilliance ink pad then punched with SU's 'Word Window' punch before being popped onto a punched snippet of 'Wisteria Wonder' card stock - I used SU's 'Modern Label' punch

Promise you, the card doesn't look as wonky in real life, and it's certainly not barrel shaped either :(

I also followed this sketch, so would like to enter this into the current challenge over at Papertake Weekly:

On a bit of a roll, I made two the same :)

And how about this for a mahoosive gingerbread house - photo taken in the hotel foyer when I last visited Cologne Christmas Markets:
Not sure if you can see but it was lit up inside and apparently it was all edible. You could smell the gingerbread too!

  8. Gorgeous Di and I take my hat off to you for colouring this image, I could not have face it and would have had to try to PP it and then probably failed and threw it in the bin lol.

  11. Isn't it great how people can make anything artistic and wonderful?! What talent to make that gorgeous gingerbread house and what talent you have making your darling card!

My photos sometimes warp my cards, too, and I can't figure it out since I try to always take them in the same place and don't fiddle with the camera settings. If you figure it out, please share!! Hugs, Darnell
