'Nativity Play' cards

Whipped up four very similar Christmas cards for the box here, LOTV 'Nativity Play' Art Pad to the rescue:
I used:

- 5" x 5" square white card blanks

- four different images from the LOTV 'Nativity Play' Art Pad, die cut with a round Spellbinders Nestie

- looking for something to back the circles with, I realised that a die from the Spellbinders Shapeabilities 'Morrocan Motifs' set looked a bit like a lacy 'stable' behind the circles - cut out from SU's 'Smoky Slate' card stock

- the sentiments were stamped using Memento 'Paris Dusk' ink and SU 'Smoky Slate' card stock - and punched out using SU's 'Modern Label' punch

So that's my entry for this week's challenge over at Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge which is 'Something round' (the image) as well as Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra for October which is 'Always anything goes'

I do so love these LOTV Nativity Play images, my very favourite one is the little angel on the top left card, dangling from the piece of rope having a 'chat' with a 'shepherd' - love her spindly legs and huge socks :)

I need to play catch up with the Playground - will do so ASAP I promise :)

  1. These LOTV images are adorable! I love the one on the bottom right with the little shepherd wondering why there is a teddy in the manger! The lacy die cut looks great as a stable.

Don't worry about playing catch up. We all know you have a lot on your plate at the moment. x

  5. I never think to look at image stacks as most companies won't post paper pads out here, but I do love the LOTV ones you use. These are delightful. I like the little shepherd looking a bit nonplussed by a 'teddy Jesus' in the manger. A great set of cards. Kate x

  11. Hi Di,
    playing catch up myself today.
I love these super little cards, and those LOTV images are just the best.
Fab die cuts around the images too.
I love that great colour inks, and card used.
I am trying to keep adding to my inks, but every time I want a certain colour it's always out of stock.
Must be popular colours I'm after.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  13. Four brilliant cards here Di and I see the background blue has changed the original was so hard to match.
The backing die looks a bit like a star, so a good choice there.

  14. love your cards Di, the images are adorable. It's quite hard finding religious Christmas images, the market seems to be flooded with snowmen, santas, penguins and wreaths!
