Oh my goodness--can't believe you told us! You are a good sport, Di--guess you have to laugh! Wishing you a great 2014!
ReplyDeleteSounds like something I would do!
ReplyDeletelol
Glad it is sorted now.
Join the club, Di,have done the same thing myself till the manual came to rescue - makes life interesting, huh? lv Shaz in Oz.xx

Oh, Di! I have done that too when I first got my cooker. Too many damn buttons, lol! Bless ya for giving us a chuckle xxxxxx
ReplyDeleteOh Di, that did make me smile, I've got a flippin auto timer, have no idea how it works but if anyone presses it by mistake it drives me up the wall as you need to press 3 buttons at the same time to unset it. Which 3 they are I have no idea, I just try everything in different combinations until it unsets!there I was yesterday like a madwoman frantically pressing buttons after my sister in law had kindly thought she'd turned off the ringing timer but set the auto instead and I still had a buffet to cook up lol! . Happy new year to you Di! Hopefully your four footed black visitor has set you up with lots of luck! Hugs and smiles, Julie x
ReplyDeleteYou Plonker Rodney! I can't believe you told us either! Oh well, at least you discovered the problem before rushing out to the sales to buy a new cooker!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sarn xxx
Ok you may only have been drinking coffee but own up - had you "eaten" any of your home made Christmas cake (from the recipe that you kindly shared???)
ReplyDeletexxxx
Oops, but never mind it all turned out well in the end and at least you can laugh about it xx
ReplyDeleteI shouldn't laugh, really I shouldn't, but that is just the sort of thing I would do :) My Christmas Day boob was not being able to turn on my recently renewed mobile phone ... a visitor had to do it for me and was I red-faced to find out how easy it is :( Today we are clearing up after the 102mph gales - and there's yet more to come! Hope your day's a good one. Hugs, Elizabeth xx
ReplyDeleteWelcome to my world of "read the directions later!" LOL Those are some nice ears, may I borrow them from time to time? LOL Loved your black cat story too! The poor kitty must have been trying to find it's way back home!
ReplyDeleteThese newfangled appliances have way too many buttons! I set my Mom's oven to self clean instead of preheat and we couldn't cool dinner until the next day! Hee haw!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very honest admission my friend! At least you haven't got to fork out on an expensive repair bill, or even a new oven. I hope the dinner was fine anyway! Kate x
ReplyDeleteNow that sounds ezackly like something I would do, Di! No need to wear asses ears around me, although we would look cute as twins!!
ReplyDeleteGlad it all worked out well in the end and I hope you are enjoying a lovely holiday!! Hugs, Darnell
O dear.

Why is it these sort of things always happen at the most inconvenient times. Luckily it got sorted without a costly outcome. My oven was inherited with the house, and I have no proper idea how it works. I switch it on, set temp. and turn off, I also know how to grill, apart from that it's a mystery. To be sure I have a separate timer stuck to the fridge. x
ReplyDeleteHey, worse things can happen! Liked those ears too, by the way. Didn't really think they fit you though...not reah-lly...TFS
ReplyDeleteJust had to comment on the photo - love him!!!!
