All I want for Christmas....

.... is my two four front teeth! A message from Dudley.
Maltese Clipart maltese dog 17 - 1024 X 1024

My baby teeth are coming out and new ones are ready to take their place - so far it's the four top front ones - bang on schedule for a Havanese! And just  two days later the new ones right in the middle are peeping through.

Sooooooooo, this is my vewy serious doggie world question - will I still be able to eat/chow down some chopped up chicken/turkey on Christmas Day?

OR, do I place an order for 'minced/blended/suck it through a straw please' in advance of the big event? Decisions, decisions, sigh.

NB The above image came from the Internet and it's drawn by Kim Niles. I hope I didn't break copyright in any way by adding it here. You can buy her images on canvas etc. through Fine Art America HERE - after Christmas I intend to buy one for us as it really is little Dudley down to the last detail!

  3. I'm sure you will manage just fine Dudley, one sniff of the roast cooking and you will be able to eat anything, just remember chocolate ornaments from the tree will make you a very sicky doggie, not that I imagine your hoomans will have put temptation in the way.

  4. Oh Dudly, you little scamp. I am sure your hoomans will help you, but there's still 13 days to go, so I'm sure your new toothypegs will be nice 'n' strong by then.

PS: Don't try the new teeth out on anyone's ankles!

  10. I think by Christmas time you will be able to eat anything you want. Be careful not to overdo and make yourself sick. Mom will know when it's enough.

  11. Don't know about you being a puppy missing teeth, Dudley. But I have over half my teeth gone since I used to live at a puppy mill, and I can eat just fine. Mom gets my kibble wet for a while so I have to wait to eat. Sigh. But I am fine and happy in my forever home. Love, Jessie

  12. We also wet Dudley's kibble anyhow Jeanne - without that he sometimes brings it back up almost whole. We're hopeful it isn't a genetic thing and just that he gobbles his food down! Lately we've been mixing some puppy pate in with the moistened kibble - for more flavour as he seemed bored with it. He now goes crazy for it, dancing around and barking happy barks as it's being prepared and with it being chopped so small and well mixed in he gets a good balance. Bit like a gourmet restaurant for pooches here really!

    Hugs

    Di xx

  13. What a sweet image, not as sweet as the RL one but a good substitute.
Not really up on doggy procedures BUT just make sure he doesn't try his new teeth out on any of yours or Lens limbs.

  14. Such a sweet pup. Di, I love the sketch. Was that made of Dudley? Is it available somewhere for sale as a digi? If yes, I'd love to get a copy.

  18. You'll be fine, Dudley. A quick blitz of the turkey in the food processor and it will be perfect for you. I'd give the sprouts a miss though! xx
