Pixie's Snippets Playground - Week 275 and 276

Well, we've had some lovely sunny days here recently - soon be time to wade into the Playground duck pond and give it the annual clean I reckon!

Thank you so much to everyone who came to play this past fortnight and as always there were so many gorgeous entries.

This is my snippets card for this next fortnight, and I did have a lot of fun making it:
I used:

- 4.25" x 5.5" white card blank, tent style

- piece of white card stock for the front panel, trimmed to just slightly smaller than the card front

- then die cut a window in the panel, using the MFT 'Rectangle Peek-a-boo Window' die and set it to one side

- found a little snippet of 'clouds in the sky' paper, from LOTV's 'Up, up & away' paper pad and used that as the background I wanted in the aperture

- used the utterly adorable Lawn Fawn 'Stinkin' Cute' stamp set for all the stamping and first I stamped the little skunk, flower and heart onto a snippet of white card

- coloured those with Pro markers and then used the matching set of dies to cut them out

- now I could see how the wee fella would be positioned so I then stamped the sentiment words onto the snippet of cloud paper

- stuck the cloud panel behind the die cut aperture

- added the little skunk in one corner then stamped the 'fumes' (snigger) emanating from him :)

- added the die cut heart and flower

-  used another snippet from the same LOTV paper pad and die cut three Spellbinders 'Nested Banners', which I added to the panel in ever-decreasing lengths and just wrapped the ends around the edge (see below for the boo-boo confession)

- added the image panel to the card blank, having backed it with white fun foam just to lift it a bit - using Collall All Purpose glue

- finally, a little touch of clear Wink of Stella to the heart and the flower

I bought the little stamp and die sets quite a while ago now, on a special offer. And of course, the wonderful MFT peek-a-boo window die had another outing!

I wonder if you already guessed coming fortnight's prize? Of course, it's a Lawn Fawn 'Stinkin' Cute' set of stamps plus a set of matching dies (as I said, they were on offer!).
AND, as the peek-a-boo window die was so wildly popular as a prize recently, I'm adding another one of those into the pot as well:
I will split the prize two ways if necessary, the Lawn Fawn 'Stinkin' Cute' stamps and matching dies will be one part of the prize and the MFT Rectangle 'Peek-a-boo Window' die can be another part. This is mainly as I'm sure some of you will have at least one or other parts of the prize, so you might not wish to play for all of the 'bundle'. But, as always - all items are one complete prize if you wish to play for all of them together.

The Snippets Challenge will run for two weeks from now on and the Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday 15th April. The gates will open again at midnight UK time on the same day.

It's still a maximum of ONE entry and please say in a comment if you wish to play and be a possible winner of the prize. The prize is all items together as a single prize, unless you really do only want to try for a 'split' as I explained above - in which case I'd do a further draw for the other item(s). Please also link back to the Playground in your blog post to be eligible for the draw.

Remember, if you link into the Playground and don't say clearly that you're wanting to be in the draw then you will be bypassed if your name comes out of Mr Linky. I'm sure you all know I ask for a positive 'yes' just in case you're playing only for fun. Thanks!

Mr Linky is below - please let me know if you have any problems linking, it's easy for me to sort out so don't struggle on alone :)

Be sure to call back next week to see the winner of last fortnight's prize plus my picks from the past two weeks - as well as a lovely guest designer too!

And, Dorothy still hasn't come forward to claim her prize - so if any of you know her email address you might want to give her a little nudge please.

Look forward to seeing what you come up with this fortnight - more clever ideas for snippets as well as 'anything you choose' - what could be simpler?

It's Darnell's annual April Fool's Boo--boo Hop and NBUS challenge #11 over HERE. The challenge runs until 11th April. My card does have a slight boo-boo on it but it's miniscule in the great scheme of things! I had planned to have those little pennant banners (with the little green hearts in the pattern) above and below the single blue hearts piece. Wasn't until the card was totally finished and everything had been put away that I realised I mucked up the order. As I say, just a minor thing but still annoying when it was planned otherwise - serves me right for taking my eye off the ball! Why don't you join in? You don't have to have a boo-boo to share, just NBUS would be fine.

Love from Parsnip and me,

  6. Oh my goodness, stinkin' cute indeed! Love that skunk with the sweet blue flowers that are probably an attempt to cover up that tell-tale odor..haha! Yes please to this prize, as that stitched frame is perfect for so many different applications.

  16. Your card is adorable, Di! I did notice right away that the order of the banners was out of kilter. Now, stop it, April Fool's! I'd never have noticed! Thank you so much for the shoutout for my challenge and for joining in the fun! You're the best!! If anyone reads this and doesn't have that peek-a-boo die - GO FOR IT! It is so easy to use and I've just discovered that all you need is a piece of gorgeous pp in the window and a sediment below and Bob's your Uncle! Great way to use snippets of pp! Well, I shouldn't really say Bob's your Uncle. It's not my place, really. I mean, I heard it from Mrs. A. and she's usually reliable, but I'm not sure if her source is reliable, if you see what I mean, and anyway, if you have always considered Bob to be your Dad, than let's leave it at that. You don't really need an Uncle as much as you need a Dad, after all, for heaven's sake, am I right? Hugs, Darnell

  24. You've made a really cute card, it would be hard not to with this stamp. The banners are a great idea to add a bit of interest. I thought it might be washi tape which would work. Or would I just get in a sticky mess with wonky tape and finger marks? Yes please to the draw but only for the frame die. x

  26. This is a really super card Di, love the die and such a cute image BUT call me "blind as a bat" but I can not see what is wrong with it.
Now as you know I hardly ever read other comments, but Darnell's looked that long that I stopped the scroll to read her comment, well I think I lost the plot after that, thank goodness I don't have a relation called Bob.

    Have a good week.
