The current challenge over at Less is More is 'Wishing' - but with the twist that we all love so much, it's one layer - sigh.
I had a few ideas which were quickly rejected once I spotted that they'd already been thought of - you often need to be really quick off the mark with some LIM challenges. Anyhow, this is what I came up with:
I used:
- 5" x 5" square white card blank
- Lavinia 'Moon Fairy' stamp, stamped using Memento 'Tuxedo Black' ink
- the sentiment, also stamped using Memento 'Tuxedo Black' ink is from a NBUS LOTV set 'Set 90 - Fairy Sentiments'. I bought it in the LOTV shop when Kath and I met up in the Summer
- then I just tickled the moon using a Gold Wink of Stella brush pen, and some clear Wink of Stella over the wings
Kept it at that - and needless to say the brush marks of the gold WOS don't show up as much in real life. Who said the camera never lies? It might not lie but it sure does exaggerate!

Oooooh - this is sooo pretty! Love the fairy sitting in the moon!
ReplyDeleteThis is darling. The gold WoS is perfect for the fairy's moon, and I hear you about the camera. Mine is very uncooperative, showing me things I didn't see until I go to do the photo bit on the computer. Good job on this one...it's very CAS, but also very pretty. TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteSweet little card. Love it.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Di and I know what you mean about the camera tricks..LOL. Hope your back is beginning to settle x
ReplyDeleteA lovely card Di - that stamp is perfect for the challenge.
ReplyDeleteKath x
Stunning CAS card Di, they always terrify me, although I am a fan of one layer card.
ReplyDeleteHope you are continuing to rest that back.

You make this look so easy Di, but it really isn't! Such a fab LIM card!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of the LOTV shop, it appears to be gone! Went to pick up a stamp I was after in August, but no joy. Not sure when that happened! lol. x
I wish I could stamp like that... And yes, I know what you mean when you have an idea and then begrudgingly have to wave it 'goodbye'.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful design :)
This is so pretty Di and fits the challenge beautifully and I love the touch of gold wos pen and a nice idea to wink her wings with the clear for more added sparkle. I use the photo glue because you can rub away any glue which squeezes out of edges etc and it looks perfect to the naked eye, but a photo always finds those bits you've missed - so irritating! Hope your back is slowly improving. x
ReplyDeletePerfect image for that delightful sentiment (love that font!).
ReplyDeleteSuper one-layer wonder here Missus.
Hugs, Sarn xxx
