............whilst I truly did think I did well on the Birthday outing on Friday with Len, as often is the case two days later, right now it feels like a combination of being kicked and also having a set of huge crab claws grinding into my back/ the right hand side of the middle of my spine. Something I expect a lot of you can relate to. Managing with a load of pills though. Rattle, rattle!!
Am trying my best to keep on top of commenting in the Playground, but my biggest worry is that I owe so many of you my love and thanks for wonderful emails, plus snail mail cards and gifts. Please bear with me - I'll be back (snort!) ASAP.
Meanwhile - a shot from Longleat the other day:
I know, squeal! A little Meerkat on guard duty, within touching/stroking distance in an enclosed area where you could really get up close and personal - so cute and also so intense. Even in the short time we spent there with these guys we watched them 'swop shifts'. Aw, how darling! Good grief, I'd love to be able to sit straight up like that right now :)

So sorry you are feeling as though you have been mauled by one of those Longleat lions Di and I hope your back soon starts to feel better. You mustn't worry about visits and suchlike as everyone will understand that it is really difficult when you are feeling as you do at the moment. You just need to give it some rest so it has a chance to get over your day out. Meerkats are just so cute and funny aren't they. x
ReplyDeleteHow spooky I mentioned a meerkat on my blog, but no cute pic though, bless! I do hope you feel much better very soon xxx
ReplyDeleteP.s. Belated happy birthday! And I can see how much fun you had with that crazy bird card, it's fab! Xxx
ReplyDeleteACK !!! So sorry to hear you are suffering for your fun day :-(
ReplyDeleteI just LUV these little guys too. I went in with my Daughter when we went to a little wildlife place and they even come and sit on your head !!! Squeeeeee :-D Bit smelly though hahahaha
Hope you start to get some relief soon Honey xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Aww . . . I feel for you Di. Hope the heat pad and the tablets provide some relief VERY soon. Dun you worry about the Playground . . . I'll go visiting on your behalf.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sarn xxx
oh Di hope you feel better soon - so sorry the after effects have not been good. I guess it was worth it though as it sounded as if you had an amazing day. Annie xxx
ReplyDeleteOh dearie me Di, your back is dragging it's heels, but seems to be as we get older (I mean 39 at most - in the head at least) everything takes twice as long. Take care and try to keep off the computer, I always find that the worse when my back plays up.

Putting my professional hat on Di, do try to keep up and about rather than sitting.Take regular, not just when it hurts pain killers and I hope it settles soon. A day out is the perfect distraction. What a cute photo, hugs xx
ReplyDeleteA belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU DI!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear that you are suffering - keep taking the tablets and probably best to avoid the hammock for a few days!!
Seriously I do hope you get well soon - sending gentle hugs your way.
Eve xx
Oh Di... no fun at all. My DS lost back function yesterday and he is miserable. Please rest, ice, and know we are all wishing you a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteAww sweetie, I know how you feel. I'm in near constant agony with my back and can totally sympathize! Hope you feel better soon. Love the cute lil meerkat :)
ReplyDeleteGentle hugs,
Em
Hello Di, I'm so sorry to hear how you are suffering with your back. DH has back problems too so I understand some of what you're trying to cope with. You shouldn't worry about visiting, we're all big girls and understand. You just get yourself better.
ReplyDeleteThat little chap is adorable. They're always a favourite with everyone. Barbxx
Oh Matey, I have just landed back at home after the 'tour of England' for this summer and I didn't get any time to make you a card, buy one from Clintons or even steal one from anywhere....I hope you had a lovely day and I hope the back gets better soon. xxx
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear you are suffering, Di! Get well soon!
ReplyDeleteOh, Di, I know I don't mind if you take care of yourself instead of commenting to me. I'm sure all the playmates probably feel the same. Be kind to yourself. We love you whether you comment or not!
ReplyDeleteOuch I do sympathise and I hope the pain eases off soon. Forget the playground - no need to comment or do any picks - just get yourself right xx
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear you are still in pain, I do hope things improve for you very soon, sending an extra hug.

Would you like me to send The Doc round to massage your back for you !! Second thoughts praps not cos you'd be rattling around together then.
ReplyDeleteKeep on with the heat pad. You might want to place it a tad bit higher though! Lol.
Hugs Mrs A. p.s. cute piccy.
What a shame about the back problems, they do say that someone walking on your back can do wonders for it, shall I pop down or would you rather have Len do it!
ReplyDeleteI know that you are an 'old fashioned girl' and honour your commitments but you are well loved by everyone in the playground so no one will mind if you look after yourself for once. Keep taking the tablets.

I hope your back feels better soon! I love the photo, the little chap is so cute! Take care! xxx
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain Di, as I've had back problems my entire adult life. I do hope some serious rest and relaxation helps with the pain of it all! You need to stop worrying about all of us and look after yourself! We're all going to be here whenever you feel well enough to resume your normal routine! Sending get-well ((hugs)) your way! Now go take care of YOU - doctor's orders!
ReplyDeleteHi little meercat. So cute!
ReplyDeleteI really feel for you Di. I had similar problems when my first two were small, and I know just how debilitating it can be. Fortunately I was sorted with an operation - one that they will no longer do - and it rarely troubles me now,, not to that extent anyway. I do miss you in blogland, but we all know you would be there if you could, and others are carrying the flag for you, while you can´t. So don´t spend any time worrying about us. Worry about yourself for once, and I hope you are more mobile soon. Love and hugs. Kate x
Such good posture on those Meerkats. No osteoporosis on those creatures!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are feeling so bad, Di. Take care and make sure your hubby is waiting on you! :) xx
ReplyDeleteAdorable! Hope you have some relief now...just having a wee catch up on your blog.
