Sweet memories

After enduring watching the closing ceremony of the Olympics, some of which was in fact good and quite moving (my Nasi Goreng could have been to blame for the moving bits though) - I trotted up here to post a card for today. But, then I came across a lovely email from my Uncle Frank. I guess regular followers will know that he and his much loved late wife Alice were my guardians when my parents ran away moved back to England and left me at boarding school in Germany. They were very, very special people, and Frank still is very special and also is still keeping an eye on me - he even said I 'looked good' behind the pram with Len's little grand daughters at Peppa Pig World - how loyal is that?!

And this is what he sent attached to his email:
Taken a few years ago, whilst on holiday in Scotland caravanning, the super snake ex-H and I had a lovely visit to see Alice and Frank. I'm only glad he could take a reasonable photo - just showed it to Len and he cheekily said he knows the face in the middle! :) I remember so clearly knitting that jumper too.

Sigh, out with the treadmill later on - and now you know I ain't a natural blonde :)
