Dancing on a Christmas gift

This stamp reminds me so much of our grand daughter Mia in Germany. At all of four years old her ambition is to be a ballerina, failing that a Princess will do thank you nicely!

Given the current dull weather it was really tricky to take a reasonable photo - but the sun shone for a short while yesterday and as it was shining in through the craft room window I took the opportunity - by propping cream card on the laptop which sits sideways on to the light :) Talk about the 'ways and means' committee at work!
I used:

- white 6" x 6" card stock

- stamped image by Nellie Snellon called Dawn 007 - 'Hokey-pokey', coloured on holiday with Aqua Markers and then some silver pen added at home to the stars and Glamour Dust to the stars, fur etc.

- magenta Core'dinations backing card

- backing papers from the Milton and Co. Christmas paper stack

- holly leaves cut from another sheet in the paper pack - glittered with Glamour Dust

- ribbons from stash

- holly charm from stash

- silver Josy Rose nail head stars

- silver greeting from stash - I suspect this could be Lakeland from ages ago

Phew, another one for the box - I think another run of 'quickies' could be due though!

  1. Very gorgeous card, I took a tip from lovely sis for taking photos, and invested in an easel to place them on to photograph them, just wondered if this tip might assist you in your photo difficulties!! Keep the gorgeous cards a coming Di..xx

  6. A very pretty and cute card. I am really getting to like using digistamps now. They are so versatile for resizing and flipping, and I find I can colour them with copics without the print-ink smudging or bleeding.
When I was at Ally Pally recently I bought a little wooden mini-easel, for about £1.50 I think, and it is ideal for taking a photo of my cards. I can twist it around until the light is just right. Usually for me I am trying to avoid direct sunlight or the shadow of my hand and camera on the card, but we have had thunder and torrential rain for days now, with no sign of it stopping any time soon. Come back sunny Spain!! Kate x

  7. Love the card and a great choice of colours for this one. I have a mini easel and believe you me it hasn't helped my photo's, I am hoping to get a daylight lamp for Xmas so maybe that may help but it is more for me as what colours seem to match in the evening, don't go at all in the daytime.
Thank goodness we are not dancing on ice as we were this time last year.
